jedi1984 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Here's my entry for the "Forbidden Animal Planet Contest". So... King Parrot was tired of standing on Brickbeard's shoulder and it decided it was time to tell it to the captain. This is my first try of a "Caribbean Steampunk walking thing". In my mind it was really better than the actual result, but at least I qualified to enter the contest. Criticism, suggestion, flames and so on are welcome! I hope you'll enjoy it! soccerkid6 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Very nicely done! Love the action with the pirates and the mech itself is excellent Quote
DraikNova Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Extremely awesome. The captain is oddly happy about being bound in chains though . Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Excelent build! I always knew that parrots can't be trusted! Quote
jedi1984 Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) Extremely awesome. The captain is oddly happy about being bound in chains though . Ha ha, I know! I was in doubt if it was better to change the face or to use the classic head. I solved it in a simple way: i had the complete minifigure in my hand, the option was to search in the minifigures boxes for a frighted head. It didn't take too much to decide Thanks DraikNova, soccerkid6, Big Sal, Bob De Quatre & Eric Su for your comments Edited January 15, 2013 by jedi1984 Quote

Phantom X Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Yeah too happy if you ask me..... XD pretty good dude Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 The shoulder buddy role reversal is my favorite part of this . And I love the use of recognizable pirate supplies suggesting the parrot nagging parts to cobble the robot together bit by bit. "Where did those barrels go?" 3 weeks later "Oh come on! I needed the helm! mates you better confess or I'll start keelhauling ye!" parrot sneaking up behind casting huge robo shadow "Mr. Crackers, how could ye? what are ye doi.. Aaaargh! put me down!" Some people are into that sort of thing ;) Quote
