Aitoruco Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Renfe 112 series known as "Duck" is a high-speed train of the Spanish rail company Renfe Operator, manufactured by Talgo and Bombardier. It is an evolution of the 102 series. The series is designed to travel commercially to 350 km / h, although it has been approved to 330 km / h. The maximum speed currently circulating is 300 km / h. The locomotive that I have created is the first of a complete train, hopefully, I hope to have finished within three months. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 It is a good start especially with that cockpit to stand in for the front window pains. However I don't think that the nose is quite right yet, I think the cockpit canopy needs to extend a bit further down the nose and the 45 degree angle seems to take over a bit too soon. But curved slopes like these are quite hard to get right and usually need a bit of tweaking as ideas develop over time. I think that it will better with a few carriages that you say you have planned. Anyway overall a good start, so keep it up and post your pictures as you go. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Nice job Aitoruco, you definitely are on the the right track. I can see why this is a "duck". I can imagine it was quite a complicated shape to mimic with bricks Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Not an easy duty Aitoruco, the nose of this train is very complex but you have done an amazing work! Keep on! Quote
English Electric Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Certainly not an easy prototype to work from, but you have done well to recreate the nose shape. I have to say the prototype is a real ugly duckling!!! Quote
