Kayne Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 After returning to the Citadel of the Moon with the body of Aran-Salath, Kha and Saladus have nothing left. Saladus dons the Black and becomes "The Black Wind", and tradition of the Aridesti Elves when a loved one meets a foul end. His sole purpose now is to find vengeance for his lost wife. After finding the hideout of The Hand at the Kaliphlin/Nocturnus border, Kha tries to keep up with Saladus as he sweeps over the river to find his sweet vengeance. "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. "-V Now, on to find Victor.... Obviously, this was heavily inspired by DC's Twilight of the Gods. Hopefully, it has enough of its own to stand out in its own right. Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 This is awesome! What is that piece used for the dome? I l love the horse jumping the water. I used to use those hinge brick things for horse rearing when I was little. This moc stands on it's own so don't worry. Keep'em coming! Quote
Brickington Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Very nice build. Poor hand soldiers! Quote
-obelix- Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Very nice build. I like the way you hid dark riders front legs so you can create that nice motion. Quote
Maxim I Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Yiihaw, another Kaliphlin build using the Star Wars Planet!!! I really start liking that piece! The lay-out itself is also formidable! You definetely see that it is somewhere in Kaliphlin and the tower indicates that it is very near to Nocturnus The watereffect is really nice thanks your 2 diffenet shades you made from one (transclear) piece! Also the tower with the wooden balconies (I am not sure if I use the right word for that) is excellent! Quote
Balthasar Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Fantastic MOC, great design on the tower. Jumping horses, water levels, wall textures are excellent touches. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Great moc! That's a very impressive tower, the done roof is a nice touch. I like that fact that you have managed to make it look sinister but still keep it 'kaliphlin'. I also like the flat surrounding dessert scrubland as it makes the tower stand out more imposing and lonely. You can't beat a good tower in a lake, it's one of those classic fantasy images and I never get bored of them. Great build sir! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Well I can see you got inspiration from DC's build this is plenty different enough and a very impressive MOC. The landscaping is great and the wooden sections for the windows are excellent Instantly recognizable as Kaliphlin Quote
Kayne Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Thanks for the comments guys! What is that piece used for the dome? It's half of the Star Wars planet set....I think it was the Bespin(Cloud City) one. DaMaximus-I actually used 4 different colors under the Trans-Blue piece to get the water effect. It is White, Black, Blue and Light Blue! Quote
Mike S Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 This is great! Nice posing of the horses! Quote
Niku Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 The quality of this build plus the excellent photos makes it stand very high. Nice job. Quote
de Gothia Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Wow! That tower looks great and it fits perfect in it´s sorroundings! The horses posings are just top notch! Well done! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Great job on this! The tower is excellent and I love all the character you've given to it. The rockwork, the windows on the tower, the foliage - well done! I especially like the horses leaping the creek. Excellent MOC! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Outstanding stuff, minifig posing. Stone and woodwork and color contrast, absolutely my favorite moc of you! Quote
ZCerberus Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Good job bro! Really like the work here. Nice work on the landscaping, the building and the figures. I do like that it feels like a corrupt Kalphlin build. More hand of corruption builds everyone!! Explore your dark side! Quote
Gabe Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Beautiful! I really like the different coloured plates under the trans-blue tiles to create the illusion of depth. The rockwork and the mottling on the towers is well intergrated too, and the cage with the skeleton is a nice touch! The only thing i'd add would be another layer or two of plates on the ground, just to build it up a bit from the edge of the moat/lake. ps. Yeah, dark Kaliphlin should totally become a thing! Corrupted brigands! Haunted ruins! Vile creatures from beneath the sands! (There has to be more than just sandworms?) Quote
