The first hop killed hundreds, the second thousands as the transportation system and shield was destroyed. Finally, after they had been defeated, millions were dead. There was a silver lining, however: the colonists were able to feed on frog legs for years afterwards . Oh, those grey studs on the translucent columns are supposed to be some sort of transport.
