Superkalle Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Small micro challenge for ya all. I managed to fix it myself only after a long time of fiddling around, only to discover the solution was kind of simple. So, can you do it? Nachapon Lego Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Nice challenge. I use hinge align tool to fix. Looking for Superkalle or others's solutions. Should be easier than mine. Superkalle Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Clever bbqqq - but how did you get the flex elements to snap into the technic x-axle connector in the first place (which you obviously did)? That was the challenge that I had in mind Quote
Nachapon Lego Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) @'Superkalle' Thanks, I did that by hinge align tool, too. EDIT: left side by hinge align tool, right side by flex tool. Edited February 25, 2013 by bbqqq Quote
Nachapon Lego Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) I found the answer. Sometimes just use flex tool only also work, but have to trials and errors. HD 720p Edited February 25, 2013 by bbqqq Quote
Superkalle Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Great video - that's roughly how I did it too, but your solution was a tad more elegant But I'm wondering if this is not almost a brick "bug". Because in many sets, flexible axles need to be inserted like this into technic holes, but it's not possible to do because the "flex" resistance of the digital axles is to high, so the ends can't pop into place. Anyway, you posted the correct answer, so now you get to post another challenge (if you want to) Quote
Nachapon Lego Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 @Superkalle Thank for let us learn another LDD technique. Some pelple may hate collision restrict of LDD. But I think it make LDD a unique, realistic and lovely Lego CAD. Always feels like playing puzzle games when solving build problems. This is what we can't find in real Lego bricks. Quote
