Lego Junkie Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 VR Class Dr16 Diesel-Electric Engine. by Lego Junkie., on Flickr Since I like trains, and I've seen some excellent ones around in the past few weeks, I figured I'd have a go at building one! I present to you the VR Class Dr16 Diesel-Electric engine. This type of engine is primarily used in Northern Finland. Seeing as I don't have nearly enough white parts to pull off the Red and White livery, I went with a Bley and Ornj scheme for fun. And because it looks pretty slick as a plus. lightningtiger Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I agree.....a wonderful looking engine and excellent custom rails 'Lego Junkie' and Brick On ! Quote
Locomotive Annie Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Good work, that's a prototype I haven't seen before. The scenic base adds a nice touch too, Quote
Spitfire2865 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Its probably a stupid question but does it have actual wheels? I cant see anything on the underside. And it seems a bit low to the ground. Quote
zephyr1934 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 You did a good job getting some tricky angles there. Quote
UrbanErwin Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) It is really cool. Edited February 25, 2013 by UrbanErwin Quote
Man with a hat Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Wow, impressive engine. Very realistic shape, and I especially like the cabin. But I must also say that those tracks are rally nice as well. Quote
Selander Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Great to see a Finnish diesel !! I've got a Finnish VR class SR1 in red-white livery in my Flickr account. Quote
Duq Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 That's an interesting way of doing the cab. Quote
