Hi all

Here's my entry for the servo showdown. Was going to do something a bit more modular originally but 32x32 is quite restrictive if you start to do that so instead I have gone for a more classic town feel but updated. As I was building it I was thinking back to the old 1980s official Shell LEGO petrol stations and how they might look if released today. This is the result:

Overall front shot where you can see the price board, some other signage and the shop front:

Overall shot from the other side with a view of the picnic area, air/water machine and the (SNOT) pumps:

Two of the pumps close-up:

The air and water machine:

Very nice entry,but I see a problem.....

As a unskilled builder in real live I can tell you the way you placed the forecourt pillar above a full hight window and door is not a good idea.... *oh2*

But other than that a very nice entry with lots of detail. :sweet:

Awesome build Rog with a classic Shell/Lego look. Interior is really good and I like the ice cream freezer (hope that's what it is) But my favorite piece would have to be the air and water machine it looks spot on. Lots of security cameras too. I thought I was the only one thinking about those petrol thieves.

Well done and good luck.

I used a standard LEGO invisible RSJ so it's pretty solid! And it is an ice cream freezer. I'm glad it was recognisable.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Very nice compact servo. But the gas prices make me think almost 40 years ago That was the lat time I saw prices like that. But I m thinking US prices where we sell by he gallon, prices would be diffrent by the litre.

Good luck with the contest.

In the UK forecourt prices are quoted in pence per litre. The price per gallon is too scary to put on signs!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Great station rriggs! The roof is very cool, and I like the pumps. Nice interior, too. I especially love that water and air machine and the price board, of course. Good luck!

Aww I love it rriggs. You have taken the same approach as me....updating a classic town set with some modern twists. Got another few days build to go (been distracted by the arrival of my first modular) and we can compare note  great work!
