Quarryman Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 The most successful flying ace of the Fabuland Fighter Squadron, Kriemhilde von Nebelkrähen flew a bright red triplane which earned her the nickname "The Red Baroness", despite having no claim at all to nobility. Wanted to have really thin, studless wings, and with a bit of curve, so the solution was to use turntable tops underneath. Six cylinder engine and twin machine guns, and of course the obligatory frog. Kriemhilde says good bye, and hopes you'll check out all the pictures on Flickr. Quote

This is both cool and cute at the same time, nice combo And nice integration of the Fabuland tail piece Had to have at least a few Fabuland pieces in there, and the tail felt like a natural addition. Was a bit difficult to integrate it well though.. Does love! Excellent plane there, the turntable parts also look great as rivets and sneaky wing support Thanks! Turntable tops are a really nifty part I must say. great! I love the frog in the top of the nose! great! Thanks! Hey Joe Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Very cool and it reminds me of the 'Snoopy and the Red Baron' song I listened to when I was a kid. Joe Quote
Hinckley Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 She's beautiful! Wonderful build. So creative and the perfect scale. What a great FABULAND Builder's Guild feel! Quote

L@go Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I meant to comment on this earlier, but never got around to it. It really is a great model, and although I know you said you thought your custom decals weren't perfect I have to say I like them a lot. They really add to the build. Well done - looking forward to getting a closer look at this! :) Quote
