Lego train 138 "The Whistle Train"

HI all, Just picked up 138 Whistle Train and got it all set up. The only problem I am having is that the instructions are all in Danish (?) and we are trying out figure out what positions the switch on the battery box needs to be to make it go forward/reverse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have it all wired up right, the switch is in "neutral" or "off" in the middle position, while left or right should be forward/back. Which is which depends, according to the instructions, on which way round you have the wires on the box. With that, one whistle (or any noise loud enough) should make it go, the next make it stop.

I got this set as part of my dad's old collection, complete with (very slightly battered) instructions. I remember I actually had it completely set up once, it's pretty fun to play around with.
