Bobskink Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) Didn't really know where to place this, here on in the minifig customize section, but anywere, here goes: Presenting: The Dynamic Duo This is something I've been planning and working on for quite a while. Since I have kid now I can't find the time to make customs anymore. But I still wanted to do so, so to make a long story short, I'm making customs for the smaller Lego fans now, trying something new. Ofcourse they come with their own uniqe vehicle, the Batmobile. Also made a box, I think about putting this idea on Cuusoo (after I edit out the logo's), so I want to make it look like it's real. And another picture: I customized some other Duplo's aswell, I hope to post pictures this weekend. The plan is to make duo's, that is why I started with The Dynamic Duo. Let me know what you think,. CorneliusMurdock Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Those are awesome! If that were a set, I'd snap it up in a second. Both Batman and Robin are just right and very official looking. Do they hold up to little hands well? That little Batmobile is so cute, too. Quote
Lyichir Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 That is fantastic! Never seen Duplo customs before, but these are good enough to potentially start a trend. What materials/process did you use to make these? I hope you used child-safe paints! :P Quote
SteampunkDoc Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Great idea! I love the detailing, and they seriously look official! The expressions are perfect, and overall, you did a fantastic job. The Batmobile is beyond description, and is a spot-on replica. Although "unice" should be "unique". Quote
adotnamedstud Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 This-Is-Amazing! Great job! What if one were to make a TDKR Duplo figures! Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Damn it!!! For a moment, I thought this is an official set and it will make a wonderful gift to my nephew. Geez, I can't believe I fall for it. Superb nice job and this is my first time seeing a Duplo custom. Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I loved that show. These are wonderful figures and I agree with the others that they look just like something LEGO would do. Beautiful work on everything here. It is really just flawless. I cannot wait to see what more DUPLO figures you have in store next, but I won't mind admiring at these for a long while. :wub_drool: Quote
Rick Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 These are really well done. Little Robin is adorable, as is the Duplo Batmobile. Quote
Bobskink Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Here's a making of picture of the Batmobile. The red car itself is a small basic Duplo car, the green is milliput You can also see my daughters (the main reason why I switched from Lego to Duplo) hand trying to grab the work in progress. Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 These are very cool! I find it interesting how you made the Batmobile. Turned out great! -Sci Quote
Hey Joe Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Those are really swell, thanks for sharing! I've been playing around with Duplo with my boy a lot lately myself. Joe Quote

Faefrost Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Wow! Those are jut incredible. I never would have imagined having any interest in or even looking at anything Duplo related... But those are just irresistible. Drop that set on CuuSoo. It would be a crime if it never gets made. Quote
Kristel Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 How adorable are these guys? Makes me wish these were real sets. Quote
Bobskink Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 The set is on Cuusoo, I'm really happy that Lego aproved it. Here is the link: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/38917 I really hope it gets a lot of votes. Quote
