mtrkustoms Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 (edited) I present my version of the RENFE 252 Locomotive in "Taxi" Scheme. The real one: And my LDD Version Rendered with POV-RAY: Here pulling 2 estrella bed cars and a little detail of the coupling: I hope you like and enjoy it Edited April 22, 2013 by mtrkustoms Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Oooooh yes I like it! Great nose and beautiful locomotive! Quote
zephyr1934 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 A nice build on the locomotive and I also like how you did the diaphragms between cars. Although it might be tricky to pull off, you might be able to work out something with headlight bricks to get half plate offsets on the nose and smooth out the ridges. Quote
Locomotive Annie Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That's one massive looking prototype and you've managed to capture that appearance really well. Quote
Commander Wolf Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I'm not a big fan of cascading those tiny slope tiles in illustrating surfaces, but I like the way you paneled the sides such that it reflects the actual locomotive appearance but doesn't just look like a big wall of gray. Why are you coupling the cars with the little rubber thing? Is it just an aesthetic preference or is there some sort of benefit over the regular magnets? Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Looks good especially with those coaches on behind. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I agree, looks better with rolling stock in tow......Brick On LDD On 'mtrkustoms' ! Quote
James_T_Menendez Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Good Job!!!. Cascading tiles is good for adjusting to real model geometry in a first approximation. Quote
