Edwin Korstanje Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) Best EB members. I starded a new moc and it's gona be even a bigger one than mine last one. It's a ship again and is build in mine combination studless and studded style and is gona be build at scale 1 to 30. The scaled dimensions are: Lenght O.A: 1.36 m Beam O.A: 0.39 m I think that i need 35000 parts for it. The owner of the brand new SL Gabon( delivery date december 2012) Smit Lamnalco have a lot off intrest to make mine model their own and have seen mine last Moc the RPA 15 and loved it. They wand first seeing some progres to make it a deal. In this topic i will let you now how i build this one. I hope you like this project the same as i do. Greets Edwin. Orginal: the SL Gabon build by Damen Shipyards Stan Tug 4011. Start from the hull At the last picture the RPA 15 next to mine new one. The RPA 15 gona be deliverd next week to his new owner. timslegos Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I love the huge builds you always do. Although I would agree that I think you should build more heavy machinery. tim Quote
D3K Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Looks promising so far! Based on your earlier work, I bet this will be even more impressive!! Next, I assume Maersk or Hapag-Lloyd will contact you to build a in the same scale, to go with your RPA 15 and your SL Gabon Quote

Because off mine work i have to much whit cars and trucks, that i want to build something different and get mine head clear. Quote
Nazgarot Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Great work so far. I really loved the RPA 15. But the cost... I could never do something like this simply because of the price. The SL Gabon is just about 36% bigger than the RPA 15. Will you get room to fit a engine mock up inside this? -ED- Quote

Will you get room to fit a engine mock up inside this? -ED- The Sl Gabon is cheaper to build than the RPA 15 because off the color, and i can build inn a engine room but it's so big 1/3 off the length from the ship below the waterline and nobody seens it, olso it lose than so much off it's stiffnes, that the studded deck will crack . Looks promising so far! Based on your earlier work, I bet this will be even more impressive!! Balrog Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 This will be very impressive again. I would kill for so many parts. Just out of curiosity ... what was the cost of the RPA approximately, what was the cost for that box of parts AND what do you expect the Gabon to cost? Quote

Paul B Technic Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Good luck with this. It is going to be great. Quote
rumpletump Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 35000 parts? Wow that is my entire collection Quote

legomuppet9 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Awesomely huge I love it as with all your ships... Quote
