Kitfistonator Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Battle of Hoth looks much better with the leg printing of Luke. The Umbaran MHC is also making me curious as to whether or not the 212th clone will be orange like its supposed to be or yellow? Quote

I believe its the same dark yellow that was used on the Wolverine minifigure. Quote

Only Sinner Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I'm going to get about 20 of the sith vs republic BP about 10 of the clones BP, maybe a lot more when there is a sale one of the A-wing one of the Z-95 two Battle of Hoth maybe the others IF there's a sale, or just wait until they go on clearance. Mr Man Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I'm sure they are just flesh hands, not gloves. Quote
NovaSentinel Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I just watched a video review of the Battle of Hoth and they are indeed white hands, on both Luke and Rieekan :) Quote

Da Expert On Anything SWs Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I can't wait until the 31st, that is when Amazon officially begins selling the new star wars legos, anyway, the new Battle of Hoth set seems a bit out of place. Quote
North Lego Star Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I can't wait until the 31st, that is when Amazon officially begins selling the new star wars legos, anyway, the new Battle of Hoth set seems a bit out of place. I have to agree with you there. I feel like it would have made more sence to maybe see a Imperial TIE Interceptor or just something to fight the new A-Wing starfighter. Quick Question for the person you bought the Battle of Hoth Set, what store did you buy it at and were either the Umbaran MHC and or the Republic BARC Speeder Sets there too? Quote
Galaxy Explorer Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 The Umbaran Cannon, BARC Speeder and Rancor Pit were the only ones I didn't see. No new planet sets either. I bought the Hoth set at the LEGO Store at Water Tower Place in Chicago. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Rereleasing yet another A-Wing doesn't make sense. Thankfully the Battle of Hoth set was released, so there are 2 sets I want this wave instead of just 1. (and summer looks to be just as disappointing . Star Wars will not be the drain on my wallet that it used to be this year since it's all prequel, CW and rereleases.) I've seen everything except the BARC, Umbaran and planet sets in Milwaukee, but it's really hit or miss. Quote
Super Brick Collector Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Looking now at the Umbaran MHC. Why did they only include on clonetrooper? Feels like a rip off to me. Quote
jmagaletta Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 There will probably be a battle pack in the future to give us more 212th clones. Or something with commander Cody. But I agree it is a ripoff to only give one. Especially when Ashoka wasn't even in the umbaran arc. would gladly exchange her for another clone. Quote

She is useless in this set a 501st would've even been better or at least 2 clones of the 212th and the 2 umbarans would be ideal. Quote
Smack Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Just a heads up to everybody I went to my local Lego store looking for a Christmas gift for my nephew and picked up the Barc Speeder with Sidecar as a gift for myself. It cost $24.99 USD, for anyone is interested. Noticed that it didn't have a US price on the pictures above. Is it bad that I bought a few winter sets for myself? I mean I think we survived the end of the world and all so I figured what the heck. Quote

I've seen everything except the BARC, Umbaran and planet sets in Milwaukee, but it's really hit or miss. It makes as much sense as whacking a load of things together that havnt been changed or done before but they do it anyway and add a 'hard to find' general rieekan fig and suddenly its all ok. What they done with the a-wing is no different than the hoth set, but you are ok with the hoth set. Its all about peoples preferences, and what they may have missed out on and are now able to get again, as your preference for the hoth set proves ^_^ Personally, im overjoyed at the a-wing having missed out previously, and also the chance to get a tauntaun, probe droid, rebels, snowtroopers and a second snowspeeder in the same pack. Only Sinner Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I've seen a couple video reviews of the 75014 Battle of Hoth. The reviewers are not really knowledgeable on Star Wars but they showed close up views of the minifigs at least. I noticed a funny little mark on the snowtrooper's torso print. Looks like they tried to make a blaster burn, but maybe it's a ketchup stain. It looks wierd, did anybody else see that? Quote

Looks like they tried to make a blaster burn, but maybe it's a ketchup stain. It looks wierd, did anybody else see that? I didn't saw a review, so I looked one, and I saw the stormtrooper has an entire new torso! the set itself isn't all that special, what you expect is wat you get. Something that suprised me was that the snowspeeder has controls both for the pilot and the gunner! The minifigs: the last two pictures are from the "old" pilot luke. so new torso, leg printing, face printing, other color hands... the only thing that is the same is the helmet. rieekan. Pics say enough snowtrooper. the last picture is the old one. It has of course the new printed black head. so new color hands and torso, printed at the front, and, unnecessarily at the back (but always welcome :) ) I have actually no idea what the by Only Sinner mentioned "ketchup stain" could be, does anyone know? credit of the pics goes to thebrickshow. With the ketchup stain are you talking about that little blob looking area just to therefore of the center of the chest piece? They don't look good in some slightly blurry pictures but those are actually two little lights/detail strips. The old version has then too but on the new one they're smaller and closer together which makes it hard to see well in pictures. Quote
North Lego Star Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) The Umbaran Cannon, BARC Speeder and Rancor Pit were the only ones I didn't see. No new planet sets either. I bought the Hoth set at the LEGO Store at Water Tower Place in Chicago. Thanks you very much for the information! Well, I think at this point the Battle of Hoth set is an Limited Edition set for Lego Stores since that is the only place it has appeared so far. About the pictures of the minifigs from the Battle of Hoth, they look pretty nice and I'm suprised that lego didn't label the Snowtroopers as NEW! since they now have back printing and a blaster mark on them. Looking now at the Umbaran MHC. Why did they only include on clonetrooper? Feels like a rip off to me. I completely agree with you on this one. I feel like lego should have just replaced Ahsoka with another 212th Clone Trooper or the 212th Clone Trooper Boil in this set. Then lego could have replaced the Droid Tank that will come out in the summer wave with an Ahsoka's Jedi Starfighter and push the Droid Tank to the first Wave of 2014 and have it then be released at the same time with a Wookiee Caratman set, but lego just doesn't seem care about how accurate the set is anymore. Despite this, I hope that we'll see some 212th Air Borne Troopers in the AT-TE set. Edited December 23, 2012 by North Lego Star Quote

Kitfistonator Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Battle of Hoth is a ToysRUS exclusive in the US. Ok thanks. I knew it was an exclusive set but I wasn't sure where exactly. Although it does seem TRU seems to be getting all the Hoth sets lately. Quote
calisupra2nr Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Ok thanks. I knew it was an exclusive set but I wasn't sure where exactly. Although it does seem TRU seems to be getting all the Hoth sets lately. Yes for whatever reason the Hoth sets do seem to find their way to ToysRUS. Anytime you see an exclusive in a Lego store and the new sets are only found in ToysRUS it is an exclusive to ToysRUS. This is because they have first-to-market rights which means that only ToysRUS (and obviously the Lego store) can sell the new sets for a couple weeks before other retailers like Target and Walmart start selling. Now if it were a Target or Walmart exclusive, you would not see it in the Lego Store until the sets are legally allowed to hit shelves for Target/Walmart. Quote
Darth Wayne Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Man so what are my options if i want to get a Snowspeeder at SOME point? The new battle of Hoth only has a really small one though it looks ok i guess... What are the chances of another UCS or just generally a big one coming (in the size of the current X-Wing or something)? Is it rumored yet what they will focus on in 2014 for Star Wars since 2013 seems to be only about Ep. II which i have no interest in :( Quote
