spzero Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Dosent look to be anything about this anywhere, I did do a search thought it would be of interest to many members either out of curiosity or love hate, Many Years ago Scalextrtic produced some LEGO compatible car prototypes however due to licencing / copyright these never saw the light of day. However things have changed and with everyone jumping on the bandwagon they have done it again, CLICK HERE These would be great to motorise some vehicles (especially with a routed track around your lego city) for shows etc, With any luck they will make some micro-scalextric sized cars like this too, Thought oppinions Quote
jimmynick Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I'd have given anything when I was 5 to make my own Scalextric cars - this seems like a great integration of two hobbies that permits much more creativity in the Scalextric system. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 It looks like a neat concept. And am I the only one giggling at a product called a "Quick Build Demolition Derby"? Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Seems like rather than demolishing things (Although that is always fun.) it may be useful for those of us that want to animate more than trains in our LEGO CITY layouts? Quote
Electricsteam Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Seems like rather than demolishing things (Although that is always fun.) it may be useful for those of us that want to animate more than trains in our LEGO CITY layouts? I was messing around with using an old small model motor I had and made a moving 3 wheeled car. Those scalextric cars remind me of this car that had a sound and was some form of micro lego type building set. I don't remember the name.... Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I have been waiting for this for years! Old experiments with second hand slot cars and MB bricks always ended up with vexing cohesion problems or things getting in the way of movement. I would love to be able to combine this in a layout or Racing Track display Quote
Cwetqo Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Uff, that just my day a lot better. Scalextrix is my second great love (after Lego) and I was already thinking of converting some of my less likable cars to lego. If I understand correctly, only complete set will be available? Too bad, because I have Carrera track and dont really need other scalextric stuff, except cars, which are compatible. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hang about a bit and they'll surely turn up as seperated online? I was schemeing to buy more track if it would be needed... Plus, well, this might be a money spinner and everyone knows a money spinner ends up creating a lot of product. Quote
