Nightstalker Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 It wasn't long after the celebration before Lukan and I received new orders. Yoko arrived with two soldiers, telling us that our next assignment was to explore the Akhenaten Delta. With a fort established close to the Loop, it's probably best we establish an outpost near the ocean, just in case someone tries to sneak into Kaliphlin through the Delta. Hopefully, an outpost is already established near the Delta since Ras-el-Akhen is nearby. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC Yoko and Soldiers Picture of shore (close to Mpya Stedor) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you enjoyed the MOC. Seeing as how one of my building projects is coming to a close, hopefully I should be posting more than one GoH MOC a week. I know there is a location north of Qakyr that is open to attack, but are there any other locations that could use an outpost in the interior of the Siccus Badlands? As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Nice little vignette, the water and rocks look good and I like the green plates and grass The straightness of the tan above the rocks doesn't look quite natural, especially where there is rock-tan plate-then rock again. Looking forward to your outpost build Quote
Nightstalker Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Yeah, I can't seem to get the natural look of changing surfaces. I'll look into it some more. Quote
MikroMan Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I'd suggest you put some cheese slopes and curved slopes on the edge, so that the tan sand isn't raised, but is a bit lower than the edge. Otherwise, a nice little MOC Quote
Maxim I Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Some slopes could work indeed You can also place the rockwork one stud before the plate. In this way, you can 'hide' the border of the plate The rockwork itself, sea and vegation are really nicely done! Quote
Gideon Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Nice vignette! I like the tufts of grass growing in the sand the best, the green plates introducing some randomness to the grass is great! Quote
Mike S Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Nice build! I think this is my favorite of yours so far. Quote
