Troubleshooting train 7939

I am having trouble with my train. I can see the green light on the train and the remote but when I try to make the train move with my remote the train doesn't move. Any ideas to help make it work?

Are the remote and the receiver on the same channel? Is the remote within sight of the receiver? Are you using fresh batteries? Is the motor fully connected to the receiver?

I will change the batteries. The remote and the receiver are on the same channel. I put the remote a foot away from train and it is on fully.

I would try without the loco on the track, do the wheels move then? have you moved the control wheel round lots of times? and when you do does the green light on the receiver flash, it should, if it does not then you are not getting a good signal form the remote to the receiver.
