Welcome back to Day 12 of our tour, we hope you enjoyed the party. Today we are lucky enough to be visiting Qarkyr during the Rakath New Year festivities, and the famous Lion Dancers are showing us their legendary ROAR!

The beautiful music from the drums and cymbals will keep you entertained. Although some of the neighbours seem to have boarded up their doors and windows. Come and join the dance!

Qarkyr is a cultural hub of Eastern Kaliphlin, with strong influence from the Rakath mountains. It sits on the Eastern trade road to Mitgardia and Nocturnus.

The dragon head is awesome! Oh sorry, that's a lion. Like an Okinawan Shisa?

I love Kaliphlin more and more every day (but still remaining a Mitgardian though  )

Great lion costume, but the head needs to work on staying closer to the body  I love your buildings, the use of the flowers on the red building is very creative and the gold jumper roof is superb

Nice color scheme on the other house too :classic:

I love your interpretation of Qarkyr, it really looks like a melting pot of influences and people from the east and west (and south?)!

It looks to me as if the roof is made entirely of gold jumper plates: the main section is jumper plates stepping back a half stud at a time; the front is two stacks of SNOT jumper plates rotated to give the curving effect, they are held in place by red headlight bricks on the ends :classic:

You Kaliphlins sure have a great eye for the houses and style of your guild! I love the houses! The colours as well as the shape of them! If I build o moc in Kaliphlin I will most def look at this for inspiration!

I absolutley love that gold jumper tile roof and the flowers on the building! Where do those flowers come from? I'm not familiar with them but I like them a lot and your use of them is superb. I also love the atmosphere of this MOC. It really does feel like and ethnic experience!

Excellent festival, the details you put into this are great for the size it is. I too love the gold roof, and the musicians and those dragon windows work perfectly here.

For the people who asked, the red flowers came in the new Friends sets, I think they come in red and maybe light orange right now.

Oh this is lovely robuko! Great job on the wall colours, unusual combinations but they work so well here. That golden roof is pretty stupendous too!
