SkaForHire Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Day 14 has us revisiting some of Kaliphlin’s wildlife. We are in the northern badlands on safari, and this morning you are all in for a treat – a lone Oliphant has wondered onto our safari’s path. huntcard by skaforhire, on Flickr But what is this? Lerik’ai? This is a rare treat indeed. It is not often that one gets to see these often hostile and private people. It looks like they have their eye on our Oliphant bull too. DSC_2883 by skaforhire, on Flickr Oh my, cover your children’s eyes, the Lerik’ai are going in for the kill! Oliphanthunt by skaforhire, on Flickr Well, let’s get out of here before they decide to come after our tour. lerikhuntwhite by skaforhire, on Flickr ---------- The previous days on the tour: Day 1 - The Withered Woods Day 2 - The Jungles of Gorr Day 3 - The Lone Mountain Day 4 - The Qar-Akhen Marshes Day 5 - The Dune Sea Day 6 - The Great Dragonboat Race Day 7 - Arkbri Falls Day 8 - Okatowan Gardens Day 9 - The Triumphal Arch of Petraea Day 10 - Amrakect Market Day 11 - One Year Party Day 12 - The Lion Dance Day 13 - The Fighting Pit of Mophet Day 13.5 - Digging for History Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Ooh an elephant Nice sandscape, the large curved brick fits in well Nice bushes too Quote
Dutchy Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Nice bushes indeed! The elephants face looks a bit weird on the photo of the attack Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Nice work here Ska, I like the dk tan round piece, it works really well there! Also great work with the bush! Quote
Dragonfire Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) Cool MOC. The bush and the positioning of the hunters are just right. Well done. Edited June 29, 2013 by Dragonfire Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Nicely done! I like the overall ground effect and the idea of a surprise hunt. I don't have any elephants, but they look awesome and useful. The only thing that detracts from the build is the colorful border (which I understand why it is there). Keep up the good work! Quote
de Gothia Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Great one! The psoing of the figs and the oliphant is perfect! Bravo!! Quote
Mike S Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Nicely done! I had thougth about doing a savanna scene but never got around to it. Yours came out perfectly! Quote
Gideon Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) Interesting to see a part of the Kaliphlin savanna/semi-desert, great work on that ground! However, it's the minifig posing in this build which really excels in this build Edited June 29, 2013 by Gideon Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Those lerik'ai guys look like some you don't want to miss with! Great terrain and bushes. Quote
robuko Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 That little olive bush is great. All the vegetation is very good, and the fig posing is fantastic. Sad story though, especially as elephant poaching is rising again. Quote
Wedge09 Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Really nice work  I really like the use of the elephants Quote
Erynlasgalen Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Wow, those Lerik'ai are scary people, I must remember not to run into them. The landscaping is good on this one, I like the low lying plants as it doesn't distract from the figs. At first I wasn't fond of the curved tan piece, but now looking at this again, I think it works well here and adds a nice texture to the sand. Quote
Maxim I Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Same remark as SK: ooh an elephant!!! I am still missing that animal in my colection Anyway, very cool MOC SKa! And super minifig posing! Quote
