Lego Tripod MOC

I was looking though my lego photos when I saw this MOC I made a few years ago: (link) the photos are too big to put on here, but I can get the thumbnails (BTW sorry if I don't have that many photos,when I took these pics I wasn't thinking that I would post them online ):

Now this I think was one of my greatest MOC's, it was very big and it used up all my black bricks. :-P The legs took me the longest to build but I think that if I rebuild this model (I'm planning on that soon and put it in this topic ) I'll add armor to them since, as you see from the photo, they're very thin and easy to break.

I'm not sure why I made this piloted by clones *wacko* I think it was for a contest or something.

This one I think is at least twice as big as the first one. shame that I don't have it to compare too. :-(

I have a small speeder that is a real set, but I made it so it can be put on the back of the Tripod. (A photo of the speeder)

One of the "arms" on the Tripod"s bottom, I had to take apart my only Doc Ock to build them *sing*

A better pic of the superlaser, for this (and some parts on the legs) I had to take apart Striking venom :'-( but the superlaser came out good I think. *y*

As you can see here, the cockpit and the legs can be separated.

A close-up view of the cockpit, what upsets me about this is that I can fit at LEAST 7 aliens in there (full view of the cockpit) but I only have one minialien. |-/ As you can guess, I can't wait for the "Mars Mission" sets to come out. *wub*

Sounds great. BTW, what was your primarily inspiration, the novel or one of the film adapations?

It was the 2005 one. I saw an early photo of a tripod and I made a MOC of it.

BTW, I took photos of Tripod 2.0. *y* They should be up in a couple of seconds.

Aiiiiiie! Everyone run! Scary looking battle machine, good reminicant of the war of the worlds tri-pods. I like the black colour scheme, it makes it look very threataning and scary.

Hey, this is really cool. I like the design of the back foot, Although you may want to put joints in the legs so it can be really like a WOTW tripod.

Oh. They still look sort of exo-forceish. I like the second version a lot because of the powerful laser cannons.
