Zib Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Hi all, a preview of my last reimagined XL Hero based on the large chest piece. Maybe it would fit better a Space/tech Knight theme than the Savage Planet one... Same logics in designing as the others. But this one is a bit less playable. Click on the image to access Flickr set. Dorek Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Very cool weapon. I like the idea of the theme, a gryphon, though that could have come out a bit more in the wings. Regardless, a solid dedication to using lots of gold plates helps it stand out visually. It definitely looks like it might have a bit of articulation trouble, if I'm riding you right, but he can still pose nicely. Looking forward to seeing some edits. Quote
WARHEAD Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I really like where you're going with this and the feet especially are very neat but I'd remove the whole assembly that goes down and around the sides of the torso, it kinda ruins the silhouette and makes him look fat instead of muscular as the sculpting of the pieces suggests. I don't know if I understood correctly. Maybe I will try a different color scheme, with dark shells on the back to create more contrast. Quote
WARHEAD Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) I mean the shells on his sides, the whole structure just makes the torso seem round instead of a triangular shape. A different color wouldn't really help there. Edited July 9, 2013 by WARHEAD Quote
