Tamamono Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) Anyone can post in this topic! Sunday, June 27th Evening As the last hours of the twenty-seventh of June run out, a bloodcurdling scream and a splattering noise come from the town center. "Momentarius~ss, my baby~!! No~~!!!" Boris Wheeler screams as his beloved snake's guts are sprayed all over his face. "W-what the hell... you threw a snake at me..." the captain begins as he staggers backward. "Who the hell throws a snake at someone!?" Boris runs his hand through his gelled hair, ruffling it up. Ignoring the bewildered captain, he addresses the crowd. "You fools~ss~!" Boris hisses. "I was~ss willing to work with~th you~! Now it's~ss too late~!" Pulling two more snakes out of his suit, Boris cackles. "Hyahaha! My beautiful Momentarius~ss may be dead, but I can s~sstill ex~ssterminate all of you foolish~sh two legged freaks~ss~!" "Haha, he pulled those snakes out of his pants! Those are trouser snakes!" Tristan yells, giggling. "Shut up!" someone yells from the crowd. "A-ha! I knew you were up to no good! That's why you killed who I told you to kill!!" Sheridan shouts triumphantly as she points her finger at the serpentine freak. "Oh, sh~shut up, you bitch~!" Boris hisses back at her. "There was~ss literally no reas~sson to lynch me~! Now you all sh~shall ex~sperience my wrath~th~!" "Gradarius~ss, Levi Mora~! Go, my beauties~ss! Replac~ce their blood with~th venom~!" Boris hisses as he throws his snakes into the air. "Ahh!!" Sheridan screams as Levi Mora is launched right at her. "Hiss~ss~ss!" Levi Mora hisses as she flies through the air. Suddenly, Kane elbows between Perry and Sheridan and brings his cane down hard on the pink snake's head. "As a bodyguard, it is my job to guard your body, madame!" he shouts as he slays the serpent. The other snake, Gradarius, flies toward Captain Minnow. "I've already sliced up one snake..." he begins "I have no problem with slicing up another!!" the captain yells as he slashes right through Gradarius. "Hisssss~sss~~~ssss!!!" Gradarius screams as he dies a bloody death. In a matter of just a few minutes, all of Boris' precious snakes have met their deaths. "Nooo~! My beauties~ss! My ss~snakes~!" a distraught Boris wails as he sinks to his knees. "You bas~sstards~ss killed them~!" His voice shaking now, Boris pulls something out of his back coat pocket. "I-I didn't want to res~ssort to ss~someth~thing ss~so b-brutish~sh, but I h-have no choic~ce" he begins as he begins to rise. "Die, Sh~Sheridan Thomps~sson!!" he screams as he pulls a gun on her. BANG! A shot rings out, splattering right through Boris' brain before he can pull the trigger. He dies(~ss) instantly. And that is the end of Boris Wheeler (TheBoyWonder). Private Stark stands in the background dressed in white robes and holding a large rifle. "I'm sorry, but I cannot allow your presence to plague Silver City any longer." he murmurs as he lowers the smoking gun. "Wha-what!?" Captain Minnow exclaims, "Private, what are you doing!? Where's your uniform?" "Now is not the time, dear Captain..." he says softly before addressing the crowd. "People of Silver City..." Stark begins, stepping over snake corpses. "My name is Arthur Stark... you may know me as "Private Stark". However, this is only a cover identity. I apologize for deceiving you." "In reality, I am Stark, knight of the Templar Order. More specifically, of the Arizona sect of the Knights' Templars. Pleasure to make your collective acquaintance." "I have been asked by my superiors to bring you all to the Knights' Temple to discuss a pressing matter. Please follow me." ~~~ Night has fallen as they all trek through the canyon... Intrigued, the citizens of Silver City follow the man to this promised "temple". Clay, Kenneth, and Sheridan are all curiously wearing the same white robes as Arthur... Arthur climbs the stairs and then addresses the crowd. "Welcome, citizens of Silver City..." "...to the Knights' Temple..." "W-woah..." someone whispers. "Now, my friends, it is time we addressed the matter at hand. Silver City is in ruins. Many a good man and woman has fallen victim to lynch mobs, swords, and to Wheeler's poisons. This cannot go on any longer. It is time we united as one, as citizens of Silver City and as brothers and sisters of the Knights' Templars.' It has come to my attention that the Red Coyote Gang - named "the murderers", by our beloved captain" seeks not to ruin Silver City, but to purge it of evil. This can easily be seen in their kills: Brandon Rutherford and Drake and Jessica Nelson were all immoral people who committed several crimes in their lives. Kimberly Long, too - she was a cold blooded killer. It seems the death of her husband had blackened her heart... The only wrongful execution you have committed is that of our fallen ally, Liz Devon. I am willing to overlook this lack of judgement - as long as her killer is offered up as a sacrifice... and as a show of good faith. Clay, Kenneth, and Sheridan have already taken the oath and joined me in my quest for peace in Arizona. As did Liz, prior to her unfortunate death. I urge you all to take the oath and become members of the Templars as well - Red Coyotes and Villagers alike. Truly, this cannot stand. Won't the members of the Red Coyote Gang reveal themselves and join us in brotherhood?" Someone in the crowd starts to clap slowly. "Beautiful speech, Private. Truly. I'm tearing up." Dan Sutcliffe says sarcastically as he saunters up to the stairs. "Unfortunately, you seem to be unable to grasp a very... important... part of our philosophy." "Oh?" Arthur expresses surprise. "Corporal Sutcliffe, I certainly didn't expect to see you among the ranks of the Coyotes. However, I must ask, what about your "philosophy" am I unable to grasp?" "We, the Red Coyotes, don't simply eliminate murderers and criminals. We execute anyone with darkness or immorality in their hearts. Anyone. Even people like..." "YOU!" Dan exclaims as he pulls out a dagger and drives it into Arthur's stomach. "Blargh!" Arthur gurgles as he dies. "People of Silver City! We, the Red Coyotes, will never surrender to villains like him!" Sutcliffe yells as he shows the bloodied dagger to everyone. "Aroooooooooooo!!" he howls. "Awaken, Coyotes! Take this city that is yours!" "SIRE!" Clay wails as he throws himself at the stairs where Arthur's body lies. However, Carletta is not fair behind. "Gah!" Clay screams as Carletta swiftly slices through his spinal cord with a dagger similar to Daniel's. "Ahahaha!" Carletta cackles, "Feel the pain, Templar scum!" And that is the end of Clay Redfeather (Capt. Redblade). "What the hell do you think you're doing, bitch!?" Kenneth screams as he pulls a revolver out of his robes and points it at Carletta. However, he doesn't notice someone else pulling out a weapon... "Didn't your mother tell you it's rude to point guns at ladies!?" Patrick Devon demands as he shoves his old flintlock pistol in Kenneth's face. "Shit!" Kenneth exclaims. BLAM A shot rings out, blowing off Kenneth's head. And that is the end of Sheriff Kenneth Emanuel (fhomess). "Ahhh!" Sheridan screams like a girl as she grabs Prudence's arm. "Ms. Jellison, let's get out of here! Before they kill us too!!" "Awh, poor dear..." Prudence begins." "Who says you're going anywhere!?" "Ahhh!!" Sheridan screams again as the schoolteacher raises her shovel. WHAM! Prudence swings the giant shovel down on Sheridan's head, smashing her skull in. Ending the life of Sheridan Thompson (Scubacarrot). "Damn you Coyote bastards!" Perry yells as he pulls a bottle out of his pants pocket. "Feel the wrath of my sleeping medications!!" Perry lunges forward, ready to break the bottle over Prudence's head. Suddenly, Damien grabs him by the collar. And, in a feat of almost superhuman strength, smashes his head down onto a rock... Thus ending the life of poor Perry Nathan (Peanuts). "Ahhhhh!!" Abigail screams as she tries to run away. "How can this happen!? Mom and Dad are dead, and now Ms. Jellison's a Coyote!? I haven't protected anyone from dying, either! Gosh, this is just the worst!" Pulling out a revolver, Kane speaks sharply to the girl. "Protecting people? Oh no no no, that's my job, sweetheart." BANG! He fires, blowing Abby's brains out. And that is the end of Abigail Nelson (Adam). "Why the hell did I come to Silver City!? I should have listened to Momma and stayed in Albuquerque!" Tony P. Russel mutters to himself as he tries to sneak away. Tristan giggles. "I'd dress up as your mother, but I don't have access to my extensive wardrobe right now. I sure hope you'll forgive me, mister!" "What the hell!? The kid's in on it too!?" Tony exclaims with his last breath. Right before Tristan beheads him, just as he did Jessica. And that is the end of Tony P. Russel (TinyPiesRUs). By this point, the all of the Villagers lie dead on the ground. "Wait..." Sutcliffe begins, "Where's the captain...?" ~~~ Have to be brief - running from Red Coyote Gang - the murderers Wheeler was one causing disease - Independent. Sick bastard died by Pvt. Stark's gun. Clay, Kenneth, Sheridan, Perry, Abigail, Tony were all Village. They were killed by the Red Coyote Gang - Carletta, Patrick, Prudence, Damien, Kane, Tristan. Led by Cpl. Sutcliffe. I should have known. This journal cannot fall into hands of Coyotes. This is the last record of what occurred here in Silver City. If this is discovered by Sutcliffe or his goons, it will surely be destroyed. To whomever may discover this, please make sure that Sutcliffe and the others hang for this. This sort of coup cannot take place in the United States of Ameri Captain Minnow sprints away from the temple, writing in his journal as he does.Suddenly, distracted, he trips. Shadowy figures are almost upon him, too...Panicking, Thomas throws his journal down onto the riverbed below before the Coyotes can see it. He knows his time has come."Captain Minnow... How rude of you..." Daniel Sutcliffe begins as he reaches the spot where the captain has fallen. "Leaving our little Coyote party like that... Shameful, really... We were almost to the best part, too."The part where we execute the last wicked soul in all of Silver City. You, Captain. You. Goodnight, sweet Captain."BANG!~~~July 13th, 1943Just outside of Coyote Canyon, AZ (formerly Silver City)A boy and his sister flip the aged book closed."Golly, sis, that was the best storybook ever!" the boy exclaims, "I wanna read it again!""B-Bobby," the girl stammers, "I don't think that's a storybook..." she points to the corner of the last page. This journal cannot fall into hands of Coyotes. The paintings he created always invoked such emotion in the viewer, and he was actually able to make a decent living for himself by selling his masterpieces to the wealthy. Unfortunately, he lost the use of his eye and hand in the war, and has since been unable to paint. Without his passion, Caleb has nothing left, and has resigned himself to a life as the 'town drunk'. He drinks himself unconscious regularly. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Captain Nemo: Another victim of the dreaded Day 1 lynch! I was sad to see you go so soon. To be fair, changing your opinion on someone so quickly can be pretty suspicious, but I definitely know where you coming from. My advice to you would probably be to try to towntell as town too - while it is the rest of the town's responsibility to read you correctly (and not your responsibility to towntell), just playing strong town backfires pretty easily - it's something that's gotten me lynched in the past.Overall: You were active, inquisitive, and eager to play, and that makes you a good player. Thanks so much for playing! Liz Devon, wife of Patrick - Village Templar Acolyte Bio: Liz Devon is the wife of Patrick and the co-owner of the General Store (although she does most of the work since Patrick is usually too hung over to do it). Ever since Liz emigrated from Ireland to America, the so called "land of opportunity", she's been thoroughly disappointed, and has longed to return to the Emerald Isle. Unfortunately, due to her husband's gambling addiction, they never have the money to return back to Ireland, and they're stuck out here in dirty old Silver City. Role: You are a member of the Knights Templar - the Templar Acolyte. As a newer member of the Templars, you've gotten stuck having to perform menial tasks such as sweeping the hideout, getting coffee, and lighting candles. You're not the biggest fan of these activities, but what choice do you have? Really, the only reason you joined is for Clay Redfeather. Although you haven't known him for long, you've fallen deeply in love with him. Unfortunately, you're still unsure whether or not he feels the same way about you. Once per night you have the ability to protect one person by guarding their house for the night. However, due to your infatuation with Clay, he's the only person you're allowed to protect (as long as he's alive). You are aligned with the Village, but your first allegiance is to your Templar brethren. Thus, if investigated, you will come up as "Templar". You win if all threats to the town are eliminated. LegoDad: LegoDad! I was happy to have you this game, and even happier when you ended up drawing a mason role. You're a smart, levelheaded player who I knew would be great in a leadership position like that. Unfortunately, you guys kept recruiting obvious vanilla town, so there was no major mason town block!! If you guys had converted a PR (or if jamesn had checked one of you guys and not cried "cult"), this game would have been dramatically different. My advice to you would be to play every game like you did Aperture (if time permits, of course)! While half-lurking is generally a good way to avoid being marked as a PR, it makes generally active players stick out as obvious PR/scum. Overall: Good, smart playing. While you weren't Aperture active, you obviously put quite a bit of thought and effort into the game too, so thank you! Very happy to have you. Connie Radford, rancher and wife of Zachary - Village Bio: Connie Radford is a cattle rancher just outside of Silver City where she and her husband Zachary own a small ranch. Unlike her husband, Connie is quite adventurous, and she gets incredibly restless when there isn't something interesting and new for her to do. Just the other day, she took him rafting over a waterfall. He's been curled up in a ball in a corner of their house ever since. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Clanure: You played pretty conservatively, even as vanilla. I can understand that kind of play as the roles you've had in the past, but as vanilla, you can always poke around - accuse people; chase after the scum and wreck 'em hard! My advice to you: I'd like to see you do more as vanilla! Your play behind the scenes in both Mafia Mafia and Aperture was pretty good, but you were a Cop both times. Don't be afraid to take chances when you have nothing to lose!Overall: Not your best game, but thanks for playing and for giving it effort nonetheless! Boris Wheeler, lawyer - Independent Snake Charmer Bio: Boris Wheeler is currently a lawyer in Silver City. He's an incredibly selfish and egotistical person, always putting his own welfare before the welfare of others. In fact, he cares nothing for justice, and became a lawyer simply for the money. His favorite pastimes include victimizing the poor, shirking work, and counting his money. Role: You are the Independent Snake Charmer.Once per night you have the ability to release your snakes on one person, poisoning them. You have three snakes; you may choose which one to unleash upon your victim: 1. Momentarius - The most poisonous of the three. His target will die instantly in the night. 2. Levi Mora - Slightly less poisonous, but still potent. Her target will die when voting begins the next day. 3. Gradarius - The least poisonous snake. His target will die at the end of the next day (when I close the thread and voting ends). Bear in mind that you may not use the same snake two nights in a row. In addition, you have a one-shot bulletproof vest that gives you immunity to a kill once per game. This vest is played passively in conjunction with your Snake Charmer action. You win if you are (at least) one of the last 4 people alive. TheBoyWonder: You never used Gradarius!!! I kept a pack of tissues on hand whenever you sent in your action, my frail heart ready to break when you used Momentarius and Levi Mora. It was fun to have you, though. Were you using your action as a vigilante, or were you trying to kill scum to keep the numbers even so there'd be a final four? If it's the latter, good job. Shame you can't kill scum either. You were obviously not town after a certain point, but you somehow lived all the way to the end. So, good job, I suppose. My advice to you would be to make a real effort to scumhunt when you're not town. See yourself as town; you want to catch all the scummos when you're town, right? Go after them with the rage of a thousand suns. Don't back down so easily, too! Your posts were really pro-town early on, but whenever anyone called you out on anything, you'd pretty much go "Eep, you're right... sorry, senpai..." and back down - which is a major scumtell. Dig your heels in and stand your ground - stubbornness is a towntell.Overall: I'm seeing a lot of improvement in you! You played better here than in EB Mafia II or Jedi Temple. Keep going, you can only get better! Perry Nathan, baker - Village Pharmacist Bio: Perry Nathan is a baker in Silver City. Although he's a menacing figure, he can only be described as a gentle giant. The only thing he pounds is dough, and he does that well. There's a reason he's the only baker in town - his competition can never hold their heads above water with Perry selling his amazing loaves. Unfortunately, although he's a baking genius, Perry constantly feels left out and ostracized due to his giantism. Every once in a while he locks himself in the bakery to cry, eating all the bread he baked in the process. Role: You are the Village Pharmacist. Once per night, you have the ability to prevent one player from using their chosen night action by administering them with a strong knock-out drug. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Peanuts: You did a good job. Your heart was in the right place with your blocks, but you were always just a little bit off! First Clanure/Zakura, and then when you finally blocked scum, it was the goon. You were definitely one of the better townies, though, and I'm glad you got the chance to utilize a town PR. My advice to you would probably be to take the town by the balls more when you're in a position like you were. With a bit more insistence, you could have kept BoyWonder from being lynched!Overall: I was really happy to have you this game; you seemed to be really stepping up to the plate and trying to form a town block at the end, too. Shame the masons wouldn't cooperate! They thought you were scum. Thanks for playing! Beatrice Kingsley, bartender and aunt of Tristan - Village Bio: Beatrice Kingsley is an extremely strong-willed woman, making her way dominantly in a man's world. She's the owner of the Silver City Saloon, which she started up herself without any help at all. Everyone knows to behave themselves there, for they know that they'll have to face her wrath if they break even just one of her many, many rules. Recently, she's taken in her nephew, Tristan, after the death of her brother - Tristan's father. He's not a very well-behaved child, but she feels obligated to take care of him, so she treats him like a prince. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Bob: Bob played in this game? Carletta Maria Puerta, fortune teller - Coyote Apprentice Bio: Carletta Maria Puerta is a fortune teller currently residing in Silver City. Although she's primarily of Mexican descent, Carletta takes great pride in the fact that her grandmother was a gypsy. Inspired by her grandmother's life in western Europe, Carletta has chosen to also follow the path of the gypsy. She was trained in tarot and palm reading from a young age, but unfortunately, she hasn't an ounce of gypsy talent in her. Carletta relies on cheap tricks to impress her clients and convince them she really is a psychic. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You currently have no actions to use during the night phase. However, you will inherit the Assassin's role in the event of his death. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. CallMePie: Hinck's right, you were obvious from the getgo!! You always escaped getting lynched though... or being voted for, even. Not sure how that happened. You kept up enough of a facade to keep from getting lynched (which is better than most townies did ), so good on you for that. You weren't that active on the writeboard, but you were a voice of reason, which is necessary. I don't really have any "advice" for you per se, as you've played even more than I have. Just remember to not be so obvious when Hinckley's playing. Overall: I was happy to have you; thanks for playing! Michael Thompson, miner, father of Sheridan and husband of Esther - Village Bio: Michael Thompson is a miner in Silver City, and has been ever since he left New England with his family to cache in on some of the 'silver rush'. Unfortunately, he hasn't had much luck so far, and he's struggling to just put food on the table. Michael has an explosive temper, and he beats anyone who insults him or his family senseless without a second thought. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Mencot: You brought a lot of color and spark to this game with your roleplaying and the amount of good scumhunting you put in. Thank you for that!My advice: Read some older games to see what's a scumtell and what's not. You did a really good job not falling into the pitfall that was the Esurient lynch, but you still didn't catch some of the more pro-town scummos. With some study, you'll be a force to be reckoned with!Overall: Really awesome effort! You were active, you roleplayed, and you obviously put a lot of thought and effort into this game. That makes you a really good player, and your reads are only going to get sharper! I hope to see you in many a game in the future! Tristan Kingsley, stableboy and nephew of Beatrice - Coyote Assassin Bio: Tristan Kingsley is Beatrice's nephew. When his father died almost two months ago, Tristan was left homeless and without a penny to his name. Luckily, his aunt took him in out of the goodness of her heart. Normally a very tough woman, she's easy on Tristan, as he's the son of her favorite brother. Tristan uses this as an excuse to do whatever the hell he wants, which usually consists of stealing little trinkets from the guests in the saloon and playing tricks on them. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You are the Coyote Assassin. Once per night, you have may kill one player with your scimitar. In addition, you will appear as "Not Coyote" to investigation. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. Trumpetking: One of my first notes was about how obvious you were from your first goddamn post. You did an awesome job, though. You got more into a rhythm, and a lot of your posts later in the game were really pro-town. Almost everyone believed you were town, even when you came out with the role cop BS. You played off the few suspicions that were thrown at you really well too. I've given you a lot of flak about this game already (and I'm not about to stop ), but when we're being honest, you were definitely one of the scum's stars. You were way to eager to win extravagantly with some sort of claim, though. My advice to you would be to play more conservatively as scum. That was your shortcoming last game too. Play that way, and you'll be unstoppable as scum.Overall: Great job, buddy. Definitely happy to have you. Clay Redfeather, fur trapper - Village Templar Bio: Clay Redfeather is a fur trapper who operates between Silver City and several other small towns in the area. He enjoys being out in nature, and he's reknown across New Mexico for his bearskin rugs. As a Navajo, Clay is extremely proud of his ancestry, and he harbors quite a grudge against the settlers who came and stole his home from his people. Role: You are a member of the Knights Templar. You are the Village Templar. Every even night you have the ability to convert one Villager into a true Templar. Be careful with your conversions, however, as attempting to convert a member of the Red Coyote Gang will result in death for the converter. You are aligned with the Village, but your first allegiance is to your Templar brethren. Thus, if investigated, you will come up as "Templar". You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Capt. Redblade: One of the only PRs the scum never guessed! Yay! You and Adam were the only ones to escape Purpearljellyblob's insanely sharp reads. Great PR play. I wish you'd have taken more chances with your conversions, though! Masonries aren't for confirming already 99% towns, they're for converting 30% town players! Even if you'd died, LegoDad could have revealed a confirmed scum and started a town block. My advice to you would be to take chances with power roles. You never know, good things happen...Overall: Very happy to have you. You've turned into a really strong player in-thread, too. Jessica Nelson, wife of Drake and mother of Abigail- Village Snoop Bio: Jessica Nelson is Mayor Nelson's wife. From an incredibly wealthy family, Jessica is used to gourmet foods, exquisite clothing, and servants specifically for everything from dusting the fireplaces to applying her lipstick. Unfortunately for her, there's not much of any of those three in Silver City, so she's forced to settle for whiskey and salted pork. Strangely enough, she seems to not notice Drake's adulterous acts, or at the very least ignores them as they make no impact on her attempts to live like a princess. Role: You are the Village Snoop. Once per night, you have the ability to investigate one other player's allegiance by searching through their belongings. Your results will come back as either Coyote or Not Coyote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. jamesn: Awesome job, dude. Seriously. You were gaining a lot of speed, and if scum hadn't accidentally shafted your efforts constantly, you could have easily steamrolled most of their team. Using the cop action to check for PRs and build a block is an awesome idea, great use of the role. You were a bit quieter in-thread than usual (although not as much as Kristel), and that was a tipoff to Purpearl that you were a good kill target. You also received quite a bit more suspicion than usual because of that. My advice to you would be to play every game like you're vanilla town, no matter what your real role is. If you become unreadable, it'll make life much easier for you when it comes to scum games and PR games in the future.Overall: You did a great job, and I was very happy to have you. Thanks so much for playing! Zachary Radford - Village Bio: Zachary Radford is a cattle rancher who owns a small ranch just outside of Silver City with his wife, Connie. Ever since he was little, Zachary knew he wanted to be a cattle rancher when he grew up, just like all of his documented ancestors. He's a very unambitious man, unlike his wife, Connie, who is constantly trying to drag him in on new adventures. He prefers to stay at home and watch the cows fall asleep. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Zakura: I'm not sure I understand what you were trying to do this game? You said in the writeboard that you were trying to get Scuba lynched by pretending to be a Jester??? Not only am I unsure how this would work, but trying to get someone lynched that early on a whim is a very very bad idea for a town. Scuba was obvious town from post #1: no scum would gambit in the first post of the game. My advice to you would be to reevaluate what does and doesn't constitute a scumtell; gambitting like what Scuba did as scum is common over on Epicmafia, but here that kind of play is a lot more rare.Overall: Despite your questionable tactics, you had the right idea as vanilla: sacrifice is the way to a team win. Thanks for playing! Esther Thompson, wife of Michael and mother of Sheridan - Village Bio: Esther Thompson is Michael's wife. Although she's a hard worker, a good mother, and a generally smart woman, Esther is incredibly naive. So often she gets cheated into overpaying for groceries by Patrick, the drunk owner of the General Store. What's more, she trusts Michael's judgement completely, and although he hasn't had much luck with his mining thus far, she has total faith that things are about to change for the better. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Esurient: Poor Esurient, the victim of circumstance. Your strat was A+ on Day 1 - you prevented yourself from being lynched (which is optimal play even as vanilla; the only affiliation you know is your own, so self preservation is important on the first day), and wasted scum's first block. Continuing it past that day was a terrible idea, though. You should have claimed vanilla and explained your strategy as soon as the second day went up. You still would have gotten a shitload of votes, but you might have been able to escape lynching again. My advice to you: If you're going to gambit as town, don't make too much of a spectacle of yourself and draw it out too long.Overall: You're a new breed of player, and because of that your lynch was inevitable. Someday Eurobricks will be ready for your kind of play, but that's not today. Keep playing, though! I really enjoyed having you! Drake D. Nelson, mayor of Silver City and husband of Jessica - Village Bio: Drake D. Nelson is the mayor of Silver City. This is currently his third term because there's no one else in town who cares enough to run against him. However, he's not in it to make Silver City a better place or to justly govern its people. Drake's in it for the money, the power, and most of all, the women. Practically overflowing with charisma, Drake is quite the ladies' man. When he's not doing a half-assed job of running the city, you can find him trying to cheat on his wife. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Darkdragon: Poor DD!!! You never seem to live very long!! You played alright for the time you were alive, though. When you have a read, though, out it. Don't say "I have a list, but I'm only outing one". The suspicions of the dead are a good resource; make sure your early death isn't in vain next time! Overall: Thanks for playing, sorry you died so early! Prudence Jellison, teacher - Coyote Undertaker Bio: Prudence Jellison is a genius - she's easily the smartest person in all of Silver City. Unfortunately, due to the fact that her father could never hold a job, she was unable to attend university as she had hoped to. Currently, she's employed as a schoolteacher in Silver City, but she dreams of some day being able to get a college degree and get a job in the big city. Unfortunately, until then, she's stuck teaching 40-somethings how to read. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You are the Coyote Undertaker. Once per game, during the night phase, you have the ability to bury the body of someone who has been lynched the previous Day, therefore preventing their affiliation from being revealed until the end of the game. You alone will be informed of the affiliation of the buried player. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. Purpearljellyblob: You're scary. Your plans/reads in the writeboard were insanely smart; you're arguably one of the biggest reasons scum won (the jamesn kill). Awesome job. You were really active on the writeboard too, while I'd be surprised if you posted three times in public threads throughout the duration of the game. Luckily everyone seemed to forget about you, but you can't always count on that!Overall: Pleasure to have you. I'd like to see you play town again sometime. Damien Long, farmhand and son of Kimberly - Coyote Kidnapper Bio: Damien Long is Kimberly's son and currently the only farmhand left at the family farm. Ever since his father died, he's had to take on much more responsibility around the farm, which has been very difficult for him. He's not too bright, so he doesn't attend Ms. Jellison's school, but he has a way with animals, especially pigs. He hopes that someday he'll be able to become a pig himself. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You are the Coyote Kidnapper. Once per night, you have the ability to prevent one player from using their chosen night action by administering them with a strong knock-out drug and then tying them up in the back of an old barn for the night. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. Dannylonglegs: Danny!!! You were awesome. You came across as very pro-town in the early stages of the game, but you unfortunately lost a lot of steam after the move. That happens, though. You were hilarious on the writeboard too. My advice to you would be to not get complacent as scum. After a certain point, it seemed like you'd given up trying because you knew you guys were winning. Overall: Yay! Thanks for playing. Abigail Nelson, daughter of Drake and Jessica - Village Medicine Man Bio: Abigail Nelson is Mayor Nelson's daughter and a very bright girl, for the most part. Unfortunately, with her father always trying to play up to some floozy and her mother always whining for more clothes, Abigail never gets any love or attention from either of her parents. Luckily for Abigail, Ms. Jellison has taken her under her wing and is teaching her some advanced subjects, essentially shaping her into a 20th century girl. Role: You are the Village Medicine Man. Once per night you may protect one player by administering them with a strange herbal concoction that provides temporary immortality for the next 24 hours (in game-time). You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Adam: Interesting play from you. You weren't very active in the threads, and you thus garnered quite a bit of suspicion, but this also helped you escape the scum and their PR radar. One thing I noted was that you were really conservative with your protections. Remember that scum is trying to protect your protections too, so you need to stay one step ahead! That's my advice to you: protect people who seem like a "second choice" for a kill.Overall: Good to have you, thanks for playing! Molly Tennant, saloon dancer - Village Bio: Molly Tennant is a dancer at the Silver City Saloon. However, despite her job, Molly's incredibly shy, and always hates having to get up on stage in that dress. This isn't what she wanted her life to be like, dancing in a skimpy dress for filthy, sex-depraved miners. When she's not dancing at the saloon, Molly lives in her own head, a false reality concocted to make each coming day less daunting. Someday she hopes to be an author of a bestselling novel, to be able to share her own little reality with readers across the world. That, maybe, would make it more real. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. mostlytechnic: You did a pretty good job. I saw some awesome effort on your part, but your reads were off (especially on Trumpetking ). You really were one of the more active and involved towns, though, so that's all anyone can ask. You keep getting better and better, so that's promising, too. My advice to you would be to not let smooth talkers get close to you in this game. Sinister, manipulative smooth talkers!Overall: I was happy to have you, you put in a lot of good effort and that made me happy to watch. Thank you! Kimberly Long, farmer and mother of Damien - Village Hunter Bio: Kimberly Long is a farmer just outside of Silver City. She's a hard worker, and always knows how to raise the morale of her workers. Unfortunately, her husband and the love of her life, Chester, died six months ago. Since then, she's fallen into chronic depression, and has all but completely abandoned the farm. Currently, only her son Damien really works on it. Role: You are the Village Hunter. Once per night, you have the ability to perform one of the following actions: Vigilante: You may kill one player by shooting them with your old Winchester rifle. However, due to your poor marksmanship, your kill only has a 50% chance of going through. Target Practice: Instead of killing, you may practice with your rifle for a night, and the next night your kill has a 100% chance of going through. You win when all non-Villagers have been killed or lynched. Kristel: Another victim of the scum team's metagaming. What a shame. You were doing fairly well, too. A lot of your reads in-thread were off, but another game Day probably would have solidified your correct townreads and helped to identify more scum. I was surprised at your choice to kill Adam on the night you died, though. It was a shot in the dark, which is dangerous for vigilantes. Be careful next time you get the role!Overall: I want to see you play a full game as town!! Dumb scum! Thanks for playing, though. Tony P. Russel, cardsharp - Village Bio: When Tony was a boy, his momma told him that one day he'd find something that he was extraordinary at, and that's what he'd do for the rest of his life. She was right, but not exactly in the way she had hoped. Tony's talent is cheating at cards, and he does it with a passion. He's traveled all over the west and cheated some of the best players around. He describes himself as a 'professional' card player. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. TinyPiesRUs: I was really happy to see you sign up for this - not just because you're a good player, but because you hosted the first Western mafia game, and that's what I was partially basing this off of. You played well, and had some really good reads, especially at the end there. It's really a shame you didn't have a PR and weren't in a town block; town could have really used your brains in a leadership position.Overall: It was a pleasure to have you and see you play! Thank you! Patrick Devon, general store owner and husband of Liz - Coyote Stalker Bio: Patrick Devon is the owner of the General Store. Ever since he emigrated from Ireland, Patrick's wife, Liz, has been longing to go back home. Unfortunately, due to his gambling addiction, they've never had the money to move back to the Emerald Isle, and have been forced to stay here in Silver City. He dreams that someday he'll win big and be able to bring her back to the home she loved so dearly. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You are the Coyote Stalker. Once per night, you may investigate one player by following them around and looking through their belongings. You will learn that player's role. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. PirateDave84: You were awesome, truly. I remember you playing fairly well in Witchbreed as scum, but you played more of a passive game there. Here you were all action all the time, "scumhunting" scummy town ( ), posting actively, and trying really genuinely to figure things out. If anything, you played better town as scum than most town did. You were active and tried to figure things out honestly on the writeboard too, and you were a voice of reason there (which was necessary with people like Trumpetking around!!! ). 9/10 play, dude. Only thing wrong is that you said like 3 scummy things throughout the whole game, which a couple of people caught onto, but it wasn't a big deal. It's perfectly fine to be a little bit scummy if nobody can get enough support to lynch you.Overall: You've gotten a lot better - as both scum and as town. It was a real pleasure to have you in my game, and I expect to see you play well in many a game in the future! Kenneth Emanuel, sheriff - Village Bio: Sheriff Kenneth Emanual has been sheriff of Silver City for several years now, and has always been known for his ruthlessness toward lawbreakers. Even if the felon commits just a minor crime, Kenneth still beats them to a pulp. He claims that this is to 'set an example' that Silver City isn't the kind of place where you can get away with things, but in reality, it's just sport to him. He also enjoys bull riding and hunting buffalo with a derringer. Role: You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, you do have the power of your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. fhomess: Yay, fhomess! I was happy to see you come in for Kiel. You did a good job, and you were definitely a help to the town. You really should have pursued your suspicions of Trumpet and the role cop, though! That's the mistake you made with me in Jedi Temple too - you give your suspects too much time. Lunge out in-thread and take 'em out, especially if they're well-educated suspicions late in the game. That's my advice to you.Overall: Real pleasure to have you, dude. Thanks for coming in when I needed you! I enjoyed seeing you play. Sheridan Thompson, miner and daughter of Michael and Esther - Village Scapegoat Bio: Sheridan Thompson is the daughter of Michael and Esther Thompson. While her mother would prefer her to become a 'proper lady' like her, Sheridan would much rather help her father in the mines, which she spends much of her time doing. She's good at it too, almost on par with her hulk of a father. Although she's seventeen, the time for a young lady to be looking for a husband, she's shown no interest in men, and only has time for her work in the mines. Role: You are the Village Scapegoat. You have no powers to use during the night phase. However, due to your bad attitude, you will show up as a Coyote to investigation. You win when all threats to the town have been eradicated. Scubacarrot: Oh, Scuba. Scuba, Scuba, Scuba. When you claim in the first post of the game and declare yourself unconditionally town, you're supposed to lead lynches on scum, not town!! Good job, though - I understand where you were coming from with a lot of the lynches. The only one that was seriously bad was BoyWonder. Don't just settle for a nontown lynch when you have no idea how many scum are left at that stage! Taking a chance never hurts at that point - the worst you can do is lose, which you'd do anyway by lynching the SK. Overall: Not one of your better games, but you were still a good townie and a voice of reason. It was a pleasure to have you. Kane DeBois, snake oil salesman - Coyote Bodyguard Bio: Kane DeBois is as crooked as they come. Traveling from town to town with his "Automatic Scrubby Scrub 5000", his "Super Speedy Grain Harvester", and dozens of his other bogus inventions, Kane always makes a nice fat profit without having to face the wrath of angry farmhands realizing that the "Super Speedy Grain Harvester" actually makes harvest slower. He's currently in laying low Silver City, as the Warden of Albuquerque has been hunting him ruthlessly for the last few months. Role: You are a member of the Red Coyote Gang. You'll stop at nothing to rid Silver City of the scum that inhabits it. You are the Coyote Bodyguard. Once per night, you have the ability to protect one player from being killed at night by guarding their home while they sleep. You may not target yourself. You win when the Coyotes outnumber the Villagers. Kadabra: You finally won a game! Yay!!! Good job. You weren't all that vocal on either the writeboard or in-threads, but what you did say in the threads was straight to the point and super townie. Any suspicions of you were based on your lack of participation, not your content. Which is interesting, because it was the inverse last game; you were a bit more active, but everything you said was fluff. You've really improved a lot over just the last game, though. Great job! My advice to you would be to make bigger posts with the kind of stuff you had in there; it'd make for an unstoppable scummo.Overall: I was happy to see you get better; thanks for playing! I hope you'll keep playing and keep getting better until you're completely impossible to read. ~~~Thanks for playing, everybody! I really enjoyed this game, and I certainly hope you all did too! Edited July 18, 2013 by Tamamono
mostlytechnic Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Wow, much twists in this game! Tristan, good job in your PM conversation with me. I trusted you (for a while - I was starting to suspect you before I got killed...) Shoulda seen sooner that the poisoner=fhomess due to the player change made no sense, since the poisons wouldn't have died until then anyway. Tammo - can you post the details of roles? I know there was some weird stuff going on (the 50% vig, for example) and I'd love to see what exactly everyone had going on since I was just a lowly vanilla...
jimmynick Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Why didn't anyone get Tristan to out the rolecop when various people (TPRU in particular) voiced suspicions? Why did we lynch Esther? I know I was probably too cautious with my investigation and should have opened careful communication with more people than just those I had investigated so I didn't use my action very effectively. Eh. Scum - did you rolecop me? Mostlytechnic - my investigation gave results that were scum / not scum. If that helps with anything.
Piratedave84 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I HAD SOOO MUCH FUN!!!! Thanks Tammo for the awesome game, the finale had me so worried at times! I thought the neutrals had won!!! I was the infamous role cop! Targetted Kristel on day 1 and we got lucky! TPRU, Fhomess and Michael were cop'ed and returned as 'villagers'. Why didn't anyone get Tristan to out the rolecop when various people (TPRU in particular) voiced suspicions? Why did we lynch Esther? I know I was probably too cautious with my investigation and should have opened careful communication with more people than just those I had investigated so I didn't use my action very effectively. Eh. Scum - did you rolecop me? Mostlytechnic - my investigation gave results that were scum / not scum. If that helps with anything. No, you were killed because of your level of activity; even without us knowing your role, you were a strong player so we killed you! Also we thought you would not be protected.
DarthPotato Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Nice job, scum! This was a really fun game to watch for me! Although I had a feeling lynching the Poisoner on the last day wasn't a good idea considering no scum had been caught yet.
TrumpetKing Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013   Awooooooooooo!!! Yay! OK, I already know I was a bit of a weaker player this time, especially towards the end, and that's my own fault, and something I'm working on. I really feel the need to apologize to Kristel. I really did not want to kill you. I wanted to avoid killing you, since you die on night one just about every darn time. However, we found out you were the vig and we just couldn't keep you. This game was really fun, and I had a lot of fun killing everybody! In case anybody was wondering, here was our reasoning- Drake Nelson (Darkdragon): We just wanted to get a potential leader out of the way. Kimberly Long (Kristel): We found out she was the vig, so we kind of had to kill her. Jessica Nelson (jamesn): We saw her as a threat and we sort of suspected her of being a PR. Liz Devon (LegoDad): Just another PR suspicion. And then last night I actually targeted Clay Redfeather (Capt. Redblade), since we had already won and didn't need to worry much. Mostlytechnic- We actually did think fhomess was the SK! It was Dave's thoughts at first, so we kind of just went with them. We then thought it was Peanuts until we saw the day kill, since we had blocked him the night before. Oh, and I'm particularly shocked that everyone seemed to believe me about the role cop! And the results were real, except Carletta of course. We used her rather than Mencot, as we thought it would make me look scummy for voting him until we found out that we said "vanilla", rather than "village" (our actual results). I think that clarifies mostly everything.
Scubacarrot Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Well. Good job scum. Thanks for hosting, Tammo, I had a lot of fun.
Adam Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks for the great ride, Tammo! I had a crapton of fun, even if I sucked as a protector. Yep - I was the protector. I targeted Esurient, then Scuba, then fhomess, and then I targeted you, Trumpet, you scummy son of a bitch! I targeted Peanuts last night - he and I had claimed to each other yesterday, but by then it was too late. Great job, you dirty scumbags!
Piratedave84 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks for the great ride, Tammo! We had discussed killing you as we thought you may have a PR but then decided against it as you always lay low in mafia games so we opted for someone else!
Adam Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 We had discussed killing you as we thought you may have a PR but then decided against it as you always lay low in mafia games so we opted for someone else! Haha, don't worry, in nine or so mafia games this is only the second one where I've been anything besides a vanilla townie.
Captain Nemo Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Darn the scum won! Oh well, for the last few game days it seemed like that would anyways. And while I was the first lynched, and my game was short, it was fun watching all the other players try win--great game Tammo!
TheBoyWonder Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 First things first. I have to massively apologies to Esurient and Tammo for metagaming, it was a stupid and desperate move to try and appear townie. I regret it a lot. Anyway, my second serial killing performance. I did well, but if only I killed Kadabra or Trumpet on the last night. I had to target MostlyTechnic.
TrumpetKing Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I'm not sure if your kill for me would have gone through, TBW, if you had targeted me, since I was protected by my team every single night. It depends if your kills bypassed protections since they were in the day. So was Peanuts the blocker? That's what we thought. Oh, and Tammo- in the writeboard, when you went as Dan Sutcliffe for the first few posts, I didn't even notice that was an NPC. I just thought it was a name parody on Dan Radcliffe.
Mencot Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Whoa much twist there, awesome finale Tammo Congrats to an awesome performance Scum-bags *bows* and *applaudes* Thanks Tammo for hosting great game and thanks to everyone playing, it was fun.
Tamamono Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 First things first. I have to massively apologies to Esurient and Tammo for metagaming, it was a stupid and desperate move to try and appear townie. I regret it a lot. Don't apologize for scumhunting. When you're playing on a forum, metagaming happens. I was surprised you were the only one who called out Esurient (and Purpearljellyblob!!) for the massively scummy private mode. Thanks for hosting, Tammo, I had a lot of fun. No problem! I had loads of fun too! Thanks for the great ride, Tammo! I had a crapton of fun, even if I sucked as a protector. You're welcome, thank you for your kind words! I HAD SOOO MUCH FUN!!!! Thanks Tammo for the awesome game, the finale had me so worried at times! I thought the neutrals had won!!! Yay! Thanks, Dave; I'm glad I was able to create a fun game for you guys! Yeah, I realized that halfway through. Good to give you scummos a scare, though; you were getting way too complacent! Tammo - can you post the details of roles? I know there was some weird stuff going on (the 50% vig, for example) and I'd love to see what exactly everyone had going on since I was just a lowly vanilla... Yep, I'll get to that tomorrow. I'm in an airport kneeling at a charging station right now, so I hope you'll forgive me if I'm late on that. I'll post some player analysis too. Whoa much twist there, awesome finale Tammo Congrats to an awesome performance Scum-bags *bows* and *applaudes* Thanks Tammo for hosting great game and thanks to everyone playing, it was fun. Thank you, I'm glad you had fun!
mostlytechnic Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 No rush at all on reporting / comments there Tammo, take care of yourself and your travel. Like everyone said, it was great fun and I'm sorta glad to see myself dying off sooner each game I play :)
Peanuts Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Well, it was a damn good game, and congratulations to teh scum team for a well-deserved victory. Yeah, I was the blocker, and I guess I shouldn't have mentioned it towards Piratedave. But seriously, we had a mason, an investigator, a vigilante, a blocker and a doctor? How did we manage to lose this?
jimmynick Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I wasn't sure how the LDD graphics would turn out, but you did a great job with the pictures and you put together a compelling story. Good job running this!
Capt. Redblade Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Damn! Well played, you scum! It was great fun, Tammo, and I quite enjoyed the LDD storytelling. I think where we masons dropped the ball was our failure to recruit any major PRs. Scubacarrot was recruited because we (we started with me and LegoDad) knew the Miller/Scapegoat claim was most likely true. Fhomess seemed to be very pro-town, which ultimately paid off. Unfortunately we could only recruit on even-numbered nights so we were never able to build up a solid block. Shame, because if we'd had more numbers, we might have been more proactive in our tactics. That said, it was great fun playing and the scum deserved this one!
Piratedave84 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I wasn't sure how the LDD graphics would turn out, but you did a great job with the pictures and you put together a compelling story. Good job running this! Funny you should say this; I actually said the same thing to Tammo after the first day. The setup was awesome and the story was superbly told.
CMP Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 The Scumtastic Carletta Emilia Benita Anne-Marie Rosita Jeanette Priscilla Lucia Annabelle Cecilia Maria Louisa Garcia Louisa Giuliana Vittoria Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta lives on!!! Thanks for a fantastic game Tammo. I had a ton of fun, and it's obvious to see how much effort you put into the setup. The settings were great even though it was in LDD, and I loved the story and each characters' background. Looking through the roles, it seemed reasonably well-balanced - we scum had a good arsenal of roles, but the town had a masonry, which, well, I don't think any of us suspected. My scum team was fantastic. Our votes were dangerously close together on Day One, and a lot of us were very often on suspect lists due to our inactivity, but that fact that it was a clean sweep just goes to show how much of an effort our team put forward. I didn't do as much I should have, perhaps, but I still feel I did okay myself.
Capt. Redblade Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 The Scumtastic Carletta Emilia Benita Anne-Marie Rosita Jeanette Priscilla Lucia Annabelle Cecilia Maria Louisa Garcia Louisa Giuliana Vittoria Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta lives on!!! The Incomparable Carletta Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third (look it up ) was easily the most amusing character in this game. If we had to lose, I'm glad we lost to her. Also, did you steal my third-person shtick from Ragnarok Now?
Piratedave84 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Yay! Thanks, Dave; I'm glad I was able to create a fun game for you guys! Yeah, I realized that halfway through. Good to give you scummos a scare, though; you were getting way too complacent! I was the level headed one! Trumpet had an uncontrollable urge to claim and Danny was overly joyful that we would win! Lol!
Kadabra Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 First win on the record, yes! Thank you so much, Tammo, for hosting this, and good game Town! And you scummy scumbuddies of mine know you rock.
TrumpetKing Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I was the level headed one! Trumpet had an uncontrollable urge to claim and Danny was overly joyful that we would win! Lol! It wasn't an uncontrollable urge! I was clarifying things! Scummo.
