Captain Settle Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 (At the watchtower outside the small town of creeping shadows, on the Nocturnus border) Soldier: I'm not sure I like this place. Everything's so dark. Fred Thornton: Well you best get used to it, as we may be going to Nocturnus. This place pales in comparison to that land. Soldier: So it's decided? We're leaving Avalonia and betraying Lord Rex? Fred Thornton: I would rather be a traitor than a coward! Soldier: But what will happen to Tolswick m'lord? Fred Thornton: My brother shall take care of it while we are gone. So will you join me in going to Nocturnus? Soldier: I will follow you anywhere Lord. Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I like the cracks in the wall, and the tiles! Thankfully, you are creeping closer to Nocturnus, maybe you'll finally leave, and I take power! Mwuahaha! Quote
Captain Settle Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 You stole my plan! But maybe this MOC was all part of a bluff. Or maybe it was part of a double bluff! Or a triple bluff... or whatever its called. Quote
Garmadon Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Nice tower, I like the detailing on the tower. A couple of things could use improvement, though, e.g., black tiles on the top of the tower (if you have them) would make it smoother and the "battle damage" could be a bit more rough - not so straight that it looks like somebody carved it there Good pics and minifig posing Quote
Captain Settle Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 (edited) Your definitely right about the battle damage. I'll try and fix that. As for the tiles, I was going to put on dark brown tiles but forgot! I'll put them on now. Thanks! Edit: And I forgot to put on the Avalonia flag! Edited July 19, 2013 by Captain Settle Quote
Gideon Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Beautiful groundwork and I like the mottling in the tower as well! However I think the straight line all the way down between the "brick bricks" should maybe have been avoided, especially when you also have more texturing on top of the brick bricks. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Nice little watchtower, I like the brickwork, though I agree with Garmadon and Gideon about the battle damage and stacks of brick bricks. The foliage is excellent and the sand green slopes give a neat effect Keep it up Quote
Captain Settle Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Nice tower  Thank you! Quote
Sir Jonathan Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I really love all the detailing... great job Quote
