Esurient Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Great MOC! Very detailed as well! Good luck! Quote
M<0><0<DSWIM Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 This is beautiful, like all you builds! Love the round shape and all the detailing. My only nitpick would be that those trans-yellow parts should be trans-orange. Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Beautiful MOC. All that detail, and the whole thing looks pretty substantial. It looks like it's heavy and built sturdy too. I love this! Quote
Captain_Rex Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 The MOC looks excellent! If you really wanted to go all out you could add a tiny smoke machine to simulate the "freezing" process. Quote
markus1984 Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Thank`s guys! @M<0><0<DSWIM No this are no yellow parts - i made it with trans clear plates an take the orange Lego Light Bricks - but after 10 minutes the light are very slightly @Captain_Rex Yeah, i find the same about the smoke, but @this contest is not allowed! No costume, photoshop or other "Not Lego Thinks" markus Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Awesome Made me wanna watch the film again Quote
Tariq j Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) Thanks for showing us this amazing MOC Markus1984! It resembles exactly the film and it made me think how much better the OT was compare to the PT Best of luck in the competition! and I hope you do very well- you deserve to win. Mr Man Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Really amazing, especially in the last pic with the light coming through the steps. Shouldn't Han have a pair of handcuffs on though . Quote
MaceWindu Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I love this moc! It has correct scale - the thing, which I always glad to see.` Quote
kermit Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Your attention to detail is incredible including the lighting effects. A very impressive moc I hope I could make a great moc like that some day. Quote
mysteriouspi Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Very detailed and accurate-looking! Love the floor surrounding the freezing chamber. Not to mention that you got the ceiling in there as well without full walls; that definitely makes the MOC feel more open and accessible to viewers. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Very impressive. I have only seen that movie once a long time ago, so I definitely need to rewatch it thanks to this MOC. But, I can picture the scene vaguely and I'd say this hits it on the head. The ground being rounded with the grating effect looks amazing. The ceiling without four walls helps the MOC a lot I think. It looks very futuristic. Keep up the great work! Good luck! Quote
Lobot Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) Excellent work markus 1984, it's just perfect.....not that I'm easily swayed by anything Cloud City! (link) Edited July 25, 2013 by Lobot Quote
Nom Carver Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 No doubt you will make it, this quality of build can not go unnoticed, great build! Quote
DaisyDuq Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Absolutely fantastic MOC, perfect I'd say! I really hope you win. All the best! :-) Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Totally AWESOME 'Markus 1984', detailing is perfect.......good luck in the MOC Olympics and Brick On ! Quote
Chills Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Really amazing, especially in the last pic with the light coming through the steps. Shouldn't Han have a pair of handcuffs on though . Right after Han is put on the platform to lower him into the chamber Ugnauts come over and take his handcuffs off. So he's not wearing any as he goes into the pit. It also explains his hand position when he's in the block of carbonite. Markus, another absolutely amazing MOC. Wow! This is such an amazing scene in the film and you captured it with such exquisite detail. Bravo! Quote
gryffindorcommonroom Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Amazing. Whenever I try making a MOC of this size and proportion, it just horrificly, utterly fails. Quote
markus1984 Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 Thank`s - thank`s very much for the great feedback and for blogging the MOC! greetings Quote
