Greetings

This is like the fifth or sixth time I rebuild my Quenn Anne's Revenge, each time bigger, or with more details, etc.., but now this one is a more serious attempt to build an accurate replica from the movie. Still a lot of details to be added, lots of stuff to curve more, or not to, but with the pieces I currently have, this is the best I could do, for now...

WIth no other introduction, I present you my lastest QAR.

Very nice, I just love the aggressive angle of the stern windows, the 11th picture is the winner for me.

One thing I'm not so fond of is the tan line on the gun deck area (where the cannon ports are attached).

Thanks for your comment :) There's still one very important part of the ship I gotta finish, and its the stern roof, the one that depicts something like a curtain in both sides, that should be attached to the spears in the 2nd floor, I already got the idea of how to finish that, but not the pieces to do it, yet..

Also, I gotta do some brick built anchors, the ones from lego are way too small, and that tan line, hehe.. I had no dark red for this piece so I used the one that the original 4195 QAR set brings with :P

I gotta work a lot more on all the masts, they are kind of,... hurry made.. I didn't put that much effort on those.

All in all, I am very pleased on how this experience went, I learned a thing or two, but mostly I have learned how not to do a lot of other things :P, next time I rebuild her, I'll use an actual QAR blueprints and some more advanced techniques to get a better curve on hull and the stern. I'am already working on it :)

Awesome ship! Although for it's height it's quite to short and narrow. I'd really love to see Lego create wider hulls, but all in all I think this is the best QAR I've seen here! The rear windows is excellent!

I have been working on this, mostly on LDD to plan some ideas, measeure proportions and try to build a better curve on the hull, this is how it is going so far:

The new stern looks majestic and very fearsome, I love it!

Ten midsections make her very long, but your way of widening the hull seems to make up for that.
