kabel Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hey there, I managed to finish module 3. It's not as spectacular as the others, but it's important in order to connect other modules to it. So see yourself: The harbor master's house: a small harbor crane: a ship from Kaliphlin has arrived: modules 2 and 3 connected: Quote
Alfadas Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Wow, it looks great! Modules 2 and 3 combined look amazing! I love the figs and everything! It looks awesome! Good work! Quote
Nightstalker Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 This is coming along very well! It's better than anything I've created Quote
Maxim I Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 That is already looking extremely good! I think I will do something further with that Kaliphlin Ship for my part of the lay-out Quote
Yooha Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 You are the Wizard of Colors! The roof and the light blue wall fits perfectly. But no wonder knowing your birth town! Quote
NiL_FisK_Urd Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 This is splendid, as your other thorshaven modules Quote
Gideon Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Nice building! I especially like how you've done the edges of the roof, I can't quite make out how it is is built...? The ground and crane are also wonderful. The only thing which looks a bit out of place to me is the thick strings used for ropes in the rigging of the ship, those would probably have blended in better if they were a tad thinner (and maybe black to blend in better in the all-black upper part of the ship). Keep the modules coming!! Quote

Keep the modules coming!! I believe he used travis bricks (1x1 brick modified with stud on all four sides) hooked into a 1x2 technic brick via the top stud of the brick. Then connected 1x1 brick rounds or 1x1 plate rounds to the four sides of the travis brick. Great work kabel! The new house looks superb with the black/light blue/red color scheme, I also like the bits of bley added into the blue The roof gables are extremely clever and something I'll have to remember for future buildings The angle in the harbor is well integrated and the crane is excellent too. The trading ship finishes the section off nicely. Can't wait to see the whole layout together Quote
ZCerberus Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Very nice. That crane looks like something I would totally build. I like the black and medium blue combo. Excellent work. I do feel you need to take a few photos from a higher angle so we can see everything more easily. Quote

But now I realize that he must have used red 92946 below the technic brick, correct? Quote
kabel Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 hey guys, thanks for the feedback @Nightstalker: being part of this community helps tremendously to improve one's style @Yooha: Well, once again it wasn't me who came up with the color sceme: @Gideon and Soccerkid: That's exactly how I did it! @Z: higer angles would show that the modules aren't 100% done yet, so I'll post them once I'm done with the whole project!
