simonwillems Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 V-LF-10C Hello Eurobrickers! I mentioned long ago in the "what are your projects"-thread that I was going to build a firetruck with pieces of the truck from set 7945. I bought this truck seperately off the internet and started MOC'ing with it. It was kind of hard to build-in all the equipment behind those great doors, but I managed to fit quite a lot of firefighting and diving stuff. Though there are four seats in this truck, it can only hold two minifigures with their helemets off (they are in the back, don't worry). Let me know what you think! Hobbes Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 That's a great model! Reminds me of the one I want to build: I like this sort of fire truck, more than the ladder trucks, because of its kinda "bulky" and "heavy" look and the compartment doors on the side :-) Yours may be a bit longer than the one in the pic but you've captured the look quite well (even though that one most likely wasn't your real life model ;-)). I also like how you fit the equipment into the compartments, as well as the small details all around and the SNOT on the back. Two *y* Quote
simonwillems Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 That's a great model!Reminds me of the one I want to build: Thanks for the compliment! I was trying to build something like this one: Quite similar to yours, but a bit more stretched... I also love these kind of firetrucks... Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Awesome! Looks very good accurate to the Firetrucks you mentioned. good work! -ZotS Quote
Holodoc Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Very well done! *y* Some details I want to mention: Nice idea to have a cabin for more than one driver - and with even 4 doors. Other members already wrote it: Sophisticated storing of the equipment, especially the rearward door on the left. Cool light pylon! Your engine would make a nice addition to my squad. :'-) but... Ha - you used light gray and mid stone! And old dark gray and dark stone! :-X just to be a nitpicker... :-P ;-) Quote
Dark Brick Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Everybodys a critic, no? As for your replica, I definitely like it. Much more realistic than what TLC had in mind. I too like the larger front cab. Very good usage of space in the compartments. Cheers! DB Quote
Ras 74 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Great model! I also tried to rebuil that model Quote
casewindu Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 great model! :-D i like the way you can fit so much inside it! :-D Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 That's just lovely! I love how you have placed the compartment doors, and the SNOT on the back.. *wub* As a Fire-Truck-Nerd, (lol X-D ) I must say this is one of the best European fire truck models I've seen. :-) Quote
