HammerBro Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Deep in the Enchanted Forest of Avalonia, there lays a skeleton of a long-forgotten creature. Tigers used to roam Avalonia in old times, but they were hunted to extinction for their fur pelts. A few skeletons remain, but most have lost to the ground from whence they came. Now, it is only the elves that can find such a relic and that is why I have searched the woods for this skeleton. The fang can be ground up to a powder which, when dissolved in water, will have magical powers needed to make the Kiss of Life potion. The stump was one of my favorite aspects of this build. C&C welcome! Thanks for viewing. Edited September 7, 2013 by HammerBro33 Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Looks good, I do like that tree stump! I might have added a border, or made the base irregular, at the moment it looks quite square, if that makes sense! Quote
Mike S Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Great idea! That tree stump is awesome but like Lord Vladivus said, irregular bases seem to be the way to go if you dont use a frame. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 That tree stump is great Nice work on the undergrowth and skeleton too. Some trees, even if only saplings, would help give the feeling of a forest Quote

Thanks, I was thinking about doing a frame, but I'm going to be busy in the coming days and I wanted to photograph it sooner rather than later. Gideon Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Excellent groundwork, I especially like the tree stump! A word of advice on the photography is to avoid catching your camera's/your shadow. It might even be better to shoot in the shadow actually to avoid sharp light overall? Quote

Thanks for the complements and I'll play around with the lighting suggestions in the future. Quote
