Agleon Erigeon.

The biggest and most important city within the Arfelan Domains. It has high walls, and multitude of towers, never breached, never conquered, is a testimony of the resistance of men during the Dark Ages.

Home of the rival vassal families of the Agleons and the Ardethains.

The city was until this century the capital of the Agleon Domains, the predominant power on the south region of Avalonia, but that changed when the Arfelans took power by cleansing the land, and putting an end to the madness of Lord Agleon the 13th. The atrocities commited by the last of the Agleons is still present on the hearts of many and particulary on the Ardethains, who suffered the most by their lunatic neighbors. Some say madness could still be present on at least some of the Agleons, but the truth is that the city is more prosperous than ever on their command.

All could change on this uncertain times.

A rider approaches the southern gate with speed.

It has a message, a very important one.

He meets with Salve Ardethain

dsc01970.jpg

- Koshir: "Salve Ardethain! I bring dire news, I was part of the forces at the command of Lady Eldris, chief of the Dragon Banner, we were a force patrolling the border searching for any remnant of Revolword forces, but we met something worse"

"Drow!, reanimated corpses!, a multitude, we fought back but had to retreat when orcs of the White Hand and Nocturnus troops attacked our flanks" "Almost all my company was lost" "After they died, they rised once again and attacked us, our own kin!"

"The survivors splitted in all directions so the news of that such a vast force could reach the people, I fear that even if they divide in multiple directions, those groups would still be considered huge armies"

- Salve: "You have done well rider, I think you have more information to talk and share with the rest of the city, once you have rested a few and your mind is clear once again" "In the meantime, preparations for siege shall start". "I will send word to the other counties on Avalonia so they can prepare."

- Koshir: "My lord I think you have no idea what is about to happen, we barely damaged the creatures, they are very resistent and if any hope to defeat them rest in that Lady Eldris or any of their group could return to the city and teach you how to fight the abominations, this battle could be just the beggining of all Historica Demise if is not put an end to that spreading evil, I would not spare not a single messenger but instead keep all men available for defense, if the enemy chooses to attack the city any help would count.

Fear not for Avalonia, I will deliver the alert on the others, just need a fresh horse to continue."

- Salve: "Then you shall have it". "Good fortune"

- Koshir: my name is Koshir, my Lord. At your service. I will pray for all of us.

Few days after Koshir warning, a huge vast force amasses at all the gates

No Drow on sight. The defenders muster all men available, and hope the message had arrived.

CARNAGE is about to start.

Well this is my latest build, it surely depleted my gray pieces, I had to give use to white I like the final result, I intend to continue with the story including some elements from the Book Two.

Comments and Criticism is very well appreciated.

Greetings. :sweet:

It is really amazing what The goh experience has done to many of us! Awesome build, great story and many nice things to look at! The only minor complaint that I have would be lighting but that's gonna be a different story. Niku you have really outdone yourself with this moc!

Thank you for the words Captain Settle and Kabel, I am too surprised with the advances obtained with GoH. :sweet:

You are right about the light and quality of the photos, I need to improve a lot on those.

I love the look of all of the plant life dying as the Spire us making its way to gates, but the real beauty here is definitely the gate. Love what you have done, Niku.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys, cheers! I am very happy now :sweet: , I like that you liked the story too, as it is kind of my prologue for book 2.

I will take the advice of dark background next time CBB.

Nice mix of colors you achieved there! A great example that you can "take what you have" and still make a good build :classic:

I'm however not totally convinced about the statues (?) in the walls, they look a bit too much like exposed soldiers to me.

Even though it's not showing very much of the wall, my favourite shot is probably the one over the heads of the defenders down on the attacking army. Great choice of camera angle!

Great build Niku, using white with the gray gives it a very regal impressive look. I like the huge doorway and the interesting figs too, more story coming I assume? I echo what BB said, if you have used white on areas like walls where they are next to the background then use a darker color for the background. Dark Gray or black, otherwise you won't know where the walls end and the background begins! Other than that minor point, this is a great interesting build with a refreshing color scheme. Well done Sir

@Gideon you are right about the last statues, I did not have more gray heads nor hands to switch, so I had to use the normal yellow, hoping it wont be noticed.

About the shot you mention is one of my favorites too, I tried to depict the last moment prior to combat, and had to tell was somewhat difficult to take, at that moment had to change one camera for another as batteries were depleted.

@DC Thanks a lot for the comments and observations I will do my best next time, and yes there is coming more story, hoping to finish on next week. :classic:

@Kermit, I find that roman piece as an excellent part to stand out some characters, I looks very good on visor helmet, great you liked it.

@Kerntechniker thanks fellow avalonian.

Thanks again guys. :sweet:
