It looks like this forced you to use a simple hinge for lifting the boom instead of the typical vertical lift mechanism that skid steer loaders usually use. Quote

Maybe half a kilogram or so. - Yesterday I started making the lxf in the LDD but it'll take a while to finish since I have very limited time nowadays (family...) When I first saw the topic heading I thought of pneumatics. Was not expecting LA's to be used but it shows what you can do with the different techniques. H Quote
TasV Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) My Kubota tractor has a similar scoop mechanism (but with hydraulics)... I love this model. I think it has an excellent application in line follow robots when combined with a PID. I can't wait to see the LDD. I would buy this as a Technics kit for sure. Awesome job!
