The sandstorm almost covered every piece of machinery in site, luckily the three of us who were still together found an old speeder. The model was one of the worst released, its color scheme looked like it was hurled on, the sandstorm didn't help. But it was our one chance for survival, we would be able to search for other rebels and find a space port, 'you get what you get' I thought,

I like that your minifig is working under the speeder. You also have a good description of the speeder. However, I think the build is small overall. I think it would benefit from more wreckage or something else added to it to make it really stand out.

Idea is good, but speeder could be bigger and more detailed. With all those pieces which are in these sets, you can build much bigger vehicle. There's still enough time, you can make something awesome

I don't have any of the sets and I also just wanted to build small this time around,

The build is quite nice but as said a bit small. Some surrounding piles of junk would help it a lot. Also the extra parts selection is a bit wierd in my opinion - all are small and hidden in the MOC - not adding a lot to visual apperance - therefor I think they could be chosen wiser. Also I don't think you got them all right - there are two 8x8 plates with fence on the floor and thhey don't count as the baseplate and I don't recall any of the sets having them ...

I must have misunderstood the baseplate part, I'll make sure to change it today.

The baseplate counts as a free piece only if it's one piece baseplate - 16x16, 16x32, 32x32 or any modified ones ... Since you only stated 18 extra parts and if the two 8x8 plates with Grille are the only ones in your base that are not from the sets, than you're OK I suppose. If there's more extra parts, than I think you'll have to change something ...

I sure hope it's ok, I forgot to do anything about it today, besides asking for peoples opinions on the matter. Thanks for the response though. Edited by Bkrosell

I think (like others already pointed out) : the idea is very good, but with a big baseplate you could have made it a bit bigger and raised the chances of adding something extra that could give it something "more".
