Legonardo Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) CCC xi - Medieval town a bit of a mash between my canals of llyria and ecc's Borgia tower Edited December 9, 2013 by Legonardo Quote
kabel Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) amazing techniques, great build, can't take my eyes off it! Cool stuff Dave! BTW, did you mean Illyria, capital of the fith guild? Edited December 8, 2013 by kabel Quote
Xcod119 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Well done! Very detailed and nice inclusion of Captain Jack Sparrow! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I could see the pics just now, but my browser auto-refreshed and now I can't? Anyway, from what I saw, I love the brown roof on the smaller building/house, and that's a clever use of the brick bricks as shutters! I like the crenellations too. This is possibly my favourite of your MOCs! Great colours and techniques all round! Quote
Tomsche Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Hmmm, I can't watch the pictures, I get that 'currently unavailable' message Quote
Legonardo Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 Sorry guys, theyr currently unavailable as i made tge mistake of joining the black flickr day protesty thing, theylle be back in one or two days, the photos werent all that great anyway, will take better ones next time the sun appears :-) amazing techniques, great build, can't take my eyes off it! Cool stuff Dave! BTW, did you mean Illyria, capital of the fith guild? I never saw the I at the begining... Just assumed you say it like thatbased on my very limited knowledge of the italian and maltese languages Sorry guys, theyr currently unavailable as i made tge mistake of joining the black flickr day protesty thing, theylle be back in one or two days, the photos werent all that great anyway, will take better ones next time the sun appears :-) I never saw the I at the begining... Just assumed you say it like thatbased on my very limited knowledge of the italian and maltese languages But yes thats what i meant Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Again an amazing work! The walls colors and textures are awesome. The texture of the roof on the house is great. But I'm not fond of the 2x2 tiles on the corners. Sorry guys, theyr currently unavailable as i made tge mistake of joining the black flickr day protesty thing, theylle be back in one or two days, the photos werent all that great anyway, will take better ones next time the sun appears :-) I wish I could do not that all great pictures like yours one day Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Love it! the texturing, the angles, and if i'm not mistaken, the clever use of fig hands as hinges, never seen that used before Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 As always it's eye candy. Great work, I especially like the use of the brick-brick as shutters! Quote
Alfadas Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Beautiful as ever! Lovely details, like it! Quote
Wedge09 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Great work as usual  I like in particular the roof and the color scheme/texture Quote
Infernum Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Aw, man I can't see the pics. . How can some people see them? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Aw, man I can't see the pics. . How can some people see them? I can see them fine now. I couldn't earlier though. Edited December 8, 2013 by Lord Vladivus Quote
HammerBro Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Yeah, I think it has something to due with the browser/type of system you're viewing not on. I can't see them either and I know from experience that the images have to be posted on your flickr if that is how you upload them on to GoH. Anyway, I can't wait to see it. Quote
monsinjor Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Another beautiful MOC from you... (even I don't see first two pictures) Everything is perfect... the roof on that small building... the shutters... and the use of knives on the door... the tent... Quote
Legonardo Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Pictures should be viewable now Quote
soccerkid6 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Your roof designs always inspire me, I particularly like how you built the roof of the tower, I don't think I've ever seen anyone build a four sided roof that way and it looks great As others have said, your shutter design on the house works nicely I also really like how you made the wall predominantly white, we don't see that much in Castle builds, even though it is historically accurate. This is your second build for the CCC? Build four more as good as your first two and I think you'll have a very good shot at MB Quote
Tomsche Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Now that I see them, I wish I couldn't, it depresses me ;-) It's a gorgeous build, I especcially love the 'curve' in the building against the wall Quote
HammerBro Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I agree with soccerkid, expert roof technique! The angled plates really add a nice touch to the ground. Simply amazing. Quote
Infernum Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Nice! Love the wall and street! Nice figs too! Really love the use of capes! One thing: I feel like in comparison to the other elements of the build the tower looks a little bland. Anyway, great work dude! Quote
Legonardo Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) Thanks guys! yeah this was a big stretch of parts, so i hadnt much to work with by the time i got to the tower This is your second build for the CCC? Build four more as good as your first two and I think you'll have a very good shot at MB I think ill enter the castle, so thats third. im still going to try for another castle Edited December 10, 2013 by Legonardo Quote
de Gothia Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 You have some amazing skills LD! Everything you touch seems to turn to gold these days! I just love this one! The angels, the colours and all the great details! Knifes as hinges, brick bricks as shutters!? Just stunning! You are one of the best builders out there and yet so young! Where wil you stop!? Quote
