Original entry presentation below:

What's a Winter market without a woodcraft stall?

I present my entry for the 2013 Expand the Winter Village Contest: Horst's Holzkunst (Horst's Woodcraft), where Horst and his wife Hanni from the Ore Mountains sell their wooden Christmas goods.

The roof may be leaking, but the main draw is the giant pyramid atop.

A very nice traditional entry! Are those wwoden agnles on the stor'ss helf?

I've never heard of Weihnachtspyramide before, so it was good to learn about this custom, thank you for that. Making the propeller spinning by the heat of candles, brilliant!

This has a great southern Germany/Alps feel to it. I love the pyramid micro build the dad is carrying, great detail. Also love the leakage part; better get some sand or salt mixed with that puddle once it starts freezing ;)

Good luck in the contest.

Thank you all for the compliments.

Brilliant use of the Hero Factory crest. Good luck! :classic:

Oh, that's what it is. I got it in a Pick a Brick spree and wondered what it was originally designed for. :classic:

Very nice, and a clever play on the German Christmas pyramid.. Is this a contest entry? You should probably change the title to market it as such so you don't get overlooked in the competition.
I followed the contest rules, and they say nothing about labeling it "market" (they literally recommend "Winter Village"), so I am not worried.

Thank you for liking it. A lot of inspiration came from the Christmas markets in the (German) Ore Mountains to the North-West of the Czech Republic, see the wikipedia article on "Wooden toymaking in the Ore Mountains". The Alps are still very far away by European Standards.
