This is my Winter Village entry for the annual competition.

This small set shows the nativity play located in (LEGO) Bethlehem.

The Child was born under the star in the holy (brick)night...:)

Thanks for entering the competition.

I'm sorry but we're going to have to be strict - as we've been here - and only allow minifig or minidolls outside of the 16x16 stud base. So, please change your pictures accordingly.

Dear Rick!

I really appreciate that you like my creation.

I have carefully read the rules, I still don't see where it says that minifigs cannot be placed on the base. If you take your time you will see many other entries where minifigs are placed on the base.

This scene shows the birth of the small Jesus. So I also cannot modify on the Holy Bible, where you can read that the Child was born inside the haye and not outside.

Thanks for your understanding!

Righty, you're misunderstanding what Rick is saying - he's not saying that minifigures can only be outside the 16x16 square. He's saying that only minifigures can be outside the 16x16 square. So nothing else can be outside the square, which means your camel and cow cannot be outside the 16x16 square. :classic:

Very nice entry though!

Indeed. What I was trying to say is that the only thing that's allowed outside of the 16x16 base are minifigs (of course they can also be included on the base itself). In your case the animals should be removed or placed on the baseplate.

I think Rick means the camel and cow outside the area, not the minifigs, awesome creation though

I think this this a beautiful little scene and would be great just as a Christmas decoration. I especially like the star design you've used and the use of the turban as baby Jesus!! Excellent work!
