Vinyl Scratch Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 After the unearthing of the beasts in Antropolis City, Hero Factory realized that they didn't stand a chance against any possible threat bigger than they were. Thus, the... Jagger program was born. I have no idea what I just wrote, but a MOC needs a background I guess. Basically, after seeing Pacific Rim for the 20+th time, plus watching the Invasion from Below movie, I kind of thought of a literal LEGO Pacific Rim thingamajigger, so I went to LDD and made up this beauty based on Striker Eureka. I present you Striking Storm. Has 50 pieces according to LDD, and I tried to avoid any typical Hero build. Sure, colour's boring, I'll admit, but I couldn't think of a good enough colourscheme for it. Small gallery. Quote
legoknight00 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 all i see is the head, wings, top of the chest and the edge of the shoulders Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 Everything else is in the gallery. I didn't want to clutter the main post. Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Looks great, especially with the way the gunmetal blends in LDD. Or is that dark grey? Quote
Jetrax99 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Looks great, especially with the way the gunmetal blends in LDD. Or is that dark grey? That's definitely dark grey. Gunmetal is a lot darker. Edited January 23, 2014 by Jetrax99 Quote
Logan McOwen Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) I like it, but the lower legs are really off-putting. They don't blend with the CCBS very well. I do love the torso build however, and the upper arms a pretty clever! Overall though, this screams Gypsy Danger, which makes me very happy. Edited January 23, 2014 by LewiMOC Quote
DraikNova Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It looks quite nice, but like most HF MOCs, it's a rather generic design. It does evoke the Jaeger Mech aesthetic perfectly, however. Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 This is a alright MOC, the color is good, the body look great (hope they make that chest armor with a Hero Factory logo one day) and the legs I really don't like because I don't think 1.0 legs works because they just don't fit together well. The Helmet you used is a really good idea and fit well with the MOC. Quote
