efferman Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 it seems a bit early, but we know how it looks and know its dimensions, so we can go to improve it: first planetary drive for more power now how it works Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 No.1 improvement: replace servo by 2 x mini LA. Quote
Milan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 No.1 improvement: replace servo by 2 x mini LA. Or reduce servo's speed by factor of 2 or 3 via gears. Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Or reduce servo's speed by factor of 2 or 3 via gears. That can be done only electricaly, if you added more gearing you'd loose steering angle. Quote
Milan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 That can be done only electricaly, if you added more gearing you'd loose steering angle. I meant through gearing. It would lose some steering angle, but we were already discussing that 30 degrees for this kind of vehicle is enough, Quote
efferman Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 in fact the L350 F has in real 37° steering angle so a 8:20 ratio would fit nearly perfect Quote
Milan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 And we would have almost perfect steering speed. Quote
efferman Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) is someone sure about the width of the 42030? my second counting is 21, how much studs wide is it when you are counting? my first counting was the same width of my own loader 23 studs but it seems a bit to wide in relation to the tires 100_0885 von efferman auf Flickr Edited January 29, 2014 by efferman Quote
EyesOnly Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Shouldn't these kinds of threads appear after the set is out? That planetary gear. Can it be made without destroying the turntable? Quote
efferman Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 it is later without problems usable as turntable. the dissasembling is possible without damages Quote
EyesOnly Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Great news. Too bad it uses 2 turntables per wheel. I would like to use it on my truck but don't have anywhere near the correct amount. Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 i think i will build it as they designed it, maybe if krooshop makes an "ultimate" i will consider rebuilding it. Quote
GoldVillage Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 it depends if we counting holes or studs xD the tires are the unimog ones 12x5 studs? (about) so yes, 22 studs or 23 holes is my guess Quote
efferman Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) my interpretation of the front carriage. PF-L for bucket lift and bucket tilt and planetary gears for drive. unfortunately the 6x6 dishes are not available in yellow it should be one stud less in width in relation to 42030 edit: not sure about the atachment points of the bucket but this is the my version of the bucket arm Edited January 31, 2014 by efferman Quote
efferman Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 holy moly, what a huge thing and the I six too and a wheeled loader should have a pendular axle Quote
Rishab N Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Nice work efferman! WIll you make the steering by acuators eventually? Quote
efferman Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) sure, what else 100_0898 von efferman auf Flickr size comparisation and better integrated actuators 100_0900 von efferman auf Flickr Edited February 1, 2014 by efferman Quote
Dafgek81 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hé Efferman, Would like to see instructons for modification with the mini L.A's when you have done it on the Original model. I'm gtting this set as soon as my sitiuation lets me. I am in love with this set already, because I love heavy construction equipement. Quote
efferman Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) please remind me in august when the set is available btw, its ready for digging 100_0901 von efferman auf Flickr the actuators for steering the batterybox sits one stud more in front and now the the rear bumper is closed rubber connector to secure the mudguards complete open for maintenance the underside maybe the seat is to big or the cab is to small family photo which one has the more chunky backside? Edited February 2, 2014 by efferman Quote
Dafgek81 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Hello Efferman, I Will do that, because if I buy this set, it will have to steer nicely as well. The hubs with the planetary gearing, I don't think I will use that, but the rest seems very nice. Christian Ps: And where did you get the tyres on the wheelloader on the right, seem to be more in place than the ones on the 42030? Edited February 2, 2014 by Dafgek81 Quote
efferman Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Hi christian, The thirdparty tires are gmade mt 1901 and they should be available at good sorted rc dealers Quote
D3K Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Looks great! Any problems whatsoever with the steering setup? Quote
efferman Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Only one problem. The white clutch gear slips only in one direction. So i have to the one side a cracking noise of the internal la clutch when they are at the end, and to the other side not. Quote
Lakop Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Good job. I really need to build a loader. H Quote
Rishab N Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Nice work! I think i'll implement the acuator steering once i get this set Quote
