-Carson Haupt- Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) In the times before the Druids, there were many elves across Historica. The passing of time has gradually reduced these proud peoples until there are relatively few left. However, deep in the heart of Avalonia, the ancient inhabitants flourish and thrive as they have for eons. Curious to see how they live, Cassius visits them in their hidden valley. He brings along his advisor Alfred, and fiancé Margery. Alfred and an elf lord discuss scrying. [/url This bridge is the first part I built, and still my favorite. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, I'd like to claim the following for UoP: Waterfalls Tree #3 Sideways Rocks Life in Avalonia As always, more on flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92375335@N06/ Edited February 9, 2014 by -Carson Haupt- Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 NPU with the R2D2 legs! I also really like the sideways rock and the swan. This is a great build! Question though, what's the assassin's story? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Great build, love the architecture, looks very elven! Quote
Gunman Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Nice elvish architecture... Also great rockwork there..! Beautiful MOC Quote

Kai NRG Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 +1 UP DoH credits for all three! That waterfall is spectacular and the overall feel is very elvish! I do think you could do better with the background though. Quote

Torgar Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Nice, I love the use of the r2 droid legs, and the overall look is awesome. Great job! Quote
MikeyB Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 great job I think I am building an elvish build as well so it is great to see your take. I really like the swan and the use of the R2D2 legs. I think I may have to borrow both of those for future builds! Great job! Mikey Quote
gedren_y Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 UoP DoH +1 on all credits. Wonderful job. Quote

InvincibleEagle Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Just marvelous. Do I see Hydronaut hoses used as tree trunks? Quote
soccerkid6 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 This is my favorite build from you yet. The elvish architecture is excellent and the buildings are nicely integrated into the landscape My two favorite parts are: the large tower, great roof and windows there and the bridge to it. The swan is a great touch too Quote
robuko Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Lovely build Carson. The R2D2 leg use is absolute genius and looks fantastic. The colour palette for the elven buildings is very nice, and I like the variety of trees you have packed in. It's pretty tough to photograph white on a white background, you might think abut getting a different colour backing next time. +1 for all UoP claims. Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Uhh.. There were four... Thanks! And yeah I agree, it was quite a struggle with mixed results. Sorry! Somehow I thought there were only three... +1 for the fourth one two! Quote
Dutchy Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 The first castle-like elven tower I've seen and it looks awesome! I'm also a fan of the rockwork. Most of the times I hate the colour etc. of waterfalls but this one fits right in. Quote
HammerBro Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Really great, I always love the elvish look of white buildings! So many little things that make it interesting. Quote
NiceMarmot Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Wow, this is great. Love it -- very elvish. Lots of great details throughout. +1 on all the UoP subjects Quote
de Gothia Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 This is for sure great!! I love the scene you have put up! The details and the architecture fits perfect for the elves! My only nitpick is for the presentation. I think that the small text under all of the photos (Elven Build 117 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr) should be removed. The presentation gets much smoother and cleaner.. Quote
kabel Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The sheer complexity of this thing is really amazing. So many things to look at. And of course, I really dig those sideways rocks!! Quote
Niku Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Great job Carson, it really looks fantastic. The atmosphere, the colors and all the details make a great moc. Quote
Olaf Andersen Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I love the waterfall, do you do an underlay of bricks like in DC's guide? The slender tower is definitely the winner for me though, I don't know what it is but it just nails the elvish look Quote
