narbilu Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Bow’s Arch Quarry (Hemresa) Finding a location Nar Bilu, Gideon and the diplomats, talked all night about strategy, city planning and the benefits of the location. The plan was finished by dawn. Wig Glin and his crew of dwarves started at first sun. Stout dwarves sweating for days. Already after a few days one fourth of the big rock on the east side of town was cut down upgraded to stone bricks. Enough stone to build a fortification. Enough tore down for the city plan of Bow’s Arch. Bow’s Arch Forresters I'd like to claim the following University of Petraea credit (APPROVED): Trade & Law - manufacturing Edited March 14, 2014 by narbilu Quote
Gideon Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Nice to see a quarry in Historica! So many builds showing stone but very few show where that stone comes from The quarry walls and busy minifigs look very good, but I think some more details on the ground would have improved the overall impression. HammerBro Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Great job, all the details are wonderful! I really like seeing the bits of cut stone being chipped away. Quote
Kai NRG Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Good portrayal of a quarry camp! All the little minifigure scenes are well done, and nice rockwork as well! +1 DoH credit! On another note, I would suggest you post your DoH claims in the PU Program thread. Otherwise they might go under the radar. Quote
Gideon Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I agree with Kai, all credits should be claimed in the university thread. And then as you hopefully know already you are responsible for keeping track of your credits in the registrar's thread yourself (with links to the builds). Anyway, +1 for manufacturing Quote
qiadris Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 +1 for manufacturing, like the logging camp it's just what the entire build is about Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Cool quarry, looks like a busy place I like your little cart design and Bombur over by the food table is an amusing touch Quote
Rogue Angel Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Very nice quarry. I like all the activity and the ladders and scaffolding. Great addition to Bow's Arch! Quote
