CopMike Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 This is from Rebelscum: A staff member at the LEGO shop in Milton Keynes (UK) has confirmed that there will be a new LEGO AT-AT (10178) later this year (rumour points to November) - could this be the motorised version that starwars.com polled last year? Someone please bring out the interigation-kit and get down to Milton >:-)!Questions On copmike Quote

Darth_Legois Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Excellent (in my best mr.burns voice) ,I always wanted to get the white imperial speeder bike but never got around to geting this set & my Birthday is in November >:-) Quote

Most of the space inside will probably be taken up by the motor :-/ Quote
Piranha Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Set number 10178? Then it is an Ultimate collecter series release then All Past UCS have been 100-something Such as: 10179 10174 10030 10143 10144 10175 10134 All of those sets are UCS and Include Jawa sandcrawler,DS and other models Interesting 8- Quote
Wyvern Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 This is great news... I wonder if this UCS AT-AT would also be similar to UCS Falcon, I mean if the UCS AT-AT would also includes the minifigs.... *sweet* Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I hope it doesn't looks as crappy as the prototype. -ZotS Quote
Starwars4J Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 How can it be UCS? Wasn't it stated in the SW thread to have the same number of pieces as the last AT-AT, and 4 figs? Kinda points to system-scale. They may just call it UCS though...eh, who knows. Quote

Yes that is what I was thinking The Sandcrawler wasn't to scale either and yet is an UCS So much for my dreams of twelve figures :-D Piranha (It better not be that one posted on the vote for the next UCS) If it is.................... I don't even want to think about it Quote

I don't even want to think about it The 10131 Tie Collection (another set with the 10000 number) set has some figures also. Quote
mutley777 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Having a 5 digit number does not make it a UCS set! Just a shop@home exclusive. Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Having a 5 digit number does not make it a UCS set! Just a shop@home exclusive.Amen to that!!When will people realize this?? :-| But still... another set this year. This is the most expensive year ever. Ok, how got the pics?!?! Quote
snefroe Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 haven't we seen pics of a prototype in the not so long ago past? that model was not all that brilliant as i recall... Quote
Trionx Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 man... I was hoping that the new AT-AT wasn't true because I already have the old one but at least the new one's motorized! Quote
Scouty Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Remember people, we're still not 100% sure that it is going to be motorized!!! Quote
Trionx Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Remember people, we're still not 100% sure that it is going to be motorized!!! hmm, true, but it WOULD be cool :-P Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 hmm, true, but it WOULD be cool :-P... or not!!That will make the price get higher, and probably make the design abit worse. I hope I Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 The prices would be higher but I would prefer an AT-AT that looks better than one with a motor. I saw the so-called prototype and it is hideous. I would rather have a re-release because I would like to add more snowtroopers if it isn't an Endor Moon setting to the Hoth Base. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 The prices would be higher but I would prefer an AT-AT that looks better than one with a motor. I saw the so-called prototype and it is hideous. I would also prefer a non-motorized AT-AT. The three reasons for this are: -AT-AT which walks motorized would be much more expensive -I don't take in a motorized AT-AT becaus I can move its legs myself and don't want always to buy new and expensive batteries -AT-AT which walks motorized would perhaps not have the room for a speederbike which I really want to have Besides, I really hope that the AT-AT will come with a General Veers and a cockpit for two AT-AT Drivers. Corvus Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Why do people think it will be a UCS set? If it's going to be motorized (it seems that it's going to be), it will probably be smaller so it can actually walk. Quote
iamded Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) (though there might be wires sticking out :-/ ) In the Dark Side Developer set it doesn't have wires, it uses that big control thing. But this isn't a technic set, so I see what you mean. Still, I don't think they'll use heaps of wires, and if they do they'll cover it up. I have to admit, if it is motorized you could have some fun with the Snowspeeder tripping it up. :-P Much like the DSD set. :-P P.S. Could someone post a prototype pic here? Thanks. Order66 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) I hope its gonna be waay better than that shitty version. If so AT-AT on! EDIT: when i say shitty version i am refering to the prototype. Edited June 22, 2007 by Order66 Quote
