Just a free-build for Kaliphlin:

Of all the various dragon species, Emerald green spitters are among the most tameable, and as a result have been hand reared in Peregrinus as part of their new aerial defense system. They are fast fliers, acrobatic and accept riders easily. Despite having no teeth, Emerald greens are fearsome in battle, as they spit accurate jets of highly corrosive acid on those unlucky enough to face them. (This is how they "pre-digest" their prey in the wild) However, even with these advantages, the training process is long and arduous. Both dragon and rider must exhibit total control and lightening reflexes in order to graduate to active duty. One of the more important tests is spitting accuracy and the ability to distinguish ally from enemy units on the battlefield. It seems that in this case, poor Daisy and Akmed still have many long hours of practice in front of them...

Daisy should have concentrated on the targets on the left, leaving those on the right unscathed. Whoops... (I think she just sneezed)

Assessor Harrod sighs deeply. "How about you wheel around and try that again, eh?"

Some ex-target dummies.

Daisy is determined to keep dilligently practicing until she is centremetre perfect with her aim, even on the move - she can't wait to take to the skies and pit her skills against the rebel Varlyian ships!

Awesome background. I really admire brick-built dragons as I have yet to master building them. I love the dark red touch to the neckline and the wings look great! Well done!

That is one amazing dragon! The color scheme is beautiful and the sculpting is fantastic  The spit effect is great as well  Looks like Kaliphlin is well protected

Thanks soccerkid! I've always wanted to make a full minifig scale dragon - i find it's quite a challenging scale to get right with creatures. And of course, with Cape Dahaka (dragon's cape) on the north-eastern tip of Peregrinus, it's a no-brainer that we are going to have dragon riders!

That dragon is awesome!

Thankyou! :classic:

Thanks HammerBro, i'm glad you like it! Well i can highly recommend building a dragon if you like a challenge - this definitely tested my patience at times.

This is fantastic, definitely one of the best dragons I have ever seen! I love the story behind it too. I am sure we could scrape up some Drow if you need some live target practice.

Love the dragon, great job!

Thanks Torgar! :classic:

Wonderful job Gabe... Also nice job on the banner's base!

Cheers Gunman. Yeah the course marker/banner base was just something i was mucking around with when i got stuck on some of the neck connections - it was a bit of an impulse addition at the end but i think it suits the scene. :classic:

I'm a sucker for well-built, brick built creatures; and this one is absolutely amazing!

Aw thanks MKJoshA, glad you like it!

Haha cheers Ska; i'm disturbed by how you say "scrape up", sounds like Kaliphlin jails are pretty harsh these days! :oh::wink:

Nice one Gabe! Sweet dragon, love the different color scheme for sure!

Thanks mrcp6d! Yeah i really wanted to use my greens in this build, partic all the new olive green parts i'd acquired - it's such a great colour. Parts restriction was a bit of an issue and i was forced into a couple of colour substitutions, but i tried to make it look as much like natural hide variation as i could.

Beautiful! I love the usage of PQ parts on the wings!

Thanks, Godtshep! I'm glad you noticed the PQ parts, i really like how the pattern on them fits just as well with wing markings as they do with stonework. One of my fav parts of the build too, oddly enough. :classic:

What a cute dragon Daisy is! Let me scratch her belly, you little chump, you..

Sure, just don't make her sneeze again! (she can be a bit ticklish...)

Awesome job on the dragon Gabe! The rest of the MOC is really great too, very nice landscaping especially, I like the black and green acid streaks there!
