Hi everyone! This is my entry for the LDD/LDraw contest that EB is holding at the moment. This thread is basically everything I said in my entry post, but with more pictures and explanation.

This is the CoMplex 4S (CM4S,), not exactly my dream house, but a very nice house I wouldn't mind living in. My main goal was to give it a very modern look, and I think I did a pretty good job with it.

This house comes in 1444 pieces, includes a 'Fancy CM4S' minifigure, and loads of detail everywhere!

First off, is my sports car. I tried to give it a modern look, included red leather car seats, to make it look expensive. Also there, is a autumn-time tree, with nice colors and is shaped very nicely.

Second, the smallest part of the house, the kitchen. Normal kitchen things, a sink, countertops, drawers, and a fridge with a water/ice dispenser.

Up next is the dining room, with a really nice table, some nice chairs, and a small flower pot on the table. Off to the back are a few drawers with silverware.

Above the dining room is the bedroom/bathroom. The bedroom has a really cool bed with drawers on each side, with a lamp on top. There's also more drawers, containing clothes. In the bathroom, the usual toilet, sink, and a really cool shower.

The last part is the entrance and living room. The living room has a TV with a fireplace underneath, with a couch, plant, and stairs up to the doors of the bathroom/bedroom. On the roof is a chimney (that doesn't connect ) and some solar panels.

That's pretty much it! I hope you like this, and vote for it when the contest is over on April 15th.

Thanks for looking! If you want to see everything else I didn't mention, feel free to check out this LXF file. (updated)

I have to admit that I'm a bit confused by that building: I'm not an architect, but where does the chimney get its smoke from? *oh2* I mean, there's a chimney on the roof, but no connecion to the roof from the fireplace below the TV. Is this sort of a smokehouse and the smoke is supposed to hover through the entire room before finally hitting the chimney? Couldn't you add something like a stove pipe to make it look a bit more feasible? Chimneys out of nowhere are a bit fishy to me, aren't they?

Does the oven not count? :P Do I HAVE to fix it?

Sure, but I still haven't figured out how the smoke will get from the oven to the chimney, since they are not connected at all: Behind the oven is a staircase, but it ends on the gallery level, without any connection to the roof and the chimney. And the walls are mostly glassy, so there's no space for a stove pipe as well.

Do I HAVE to fix it?

Of course not. It's your dream house. If that includes a steamy, smoky living room, I'm fine with it. Everyone, however, living in a house where the oven is not connected to the chimney will most likely die of carbon monoxide poisoning. But since nightmares are dreams, too, I guess it's OK.

Alright, added a small chimney.

It's kind of off to the side so it's not bothering the TV, but at the top is turns a bit so it goes right under the chimney. Enjoy. :hmpf_bad::tongue:

Good job, I really like the modern style.

Is the blue on the furniture the same as the blue used for the flooring and inner walls on the second floor? Perhaps a different color or color tone would be better to make details stand out.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Quick last-minute update, though. I've decided to add some scenery, a tree, and my very own car (meant to be a sports car!)

I've also updated the first post with new images and an updated .LFX file. Thanks!
