Legonardo Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 [pid][/pid] 249D Argh! After two years of work, Flickr member Sparkytron has posted this spectacular bionicle model of Cap'n Redbeard Blindeye! Seriously some of the best bionicle work ever produced here, check out his photostream here! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 12, 2014 Governor Posted April 12, 2014 A LEGO Pirate action figure - and it works! Well, his head is more beard than anything else but this is the best use of Bionicle I've even seen! Quote
Captain Becker Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I agree whit Mister Phes, it just strikes right back when you look at it. And he put so much detail into it whit just Bionicle, wich I thought would have never been even possible. And clever use of POTC QAR sails as well. Captain Becker Quote
Sparky Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) I wish I could reply on Flickr but apparently Facebook users can't sign in without them changing their accounts to a Yahoo one. Thanks for posting it here but am I allowed to also post it in the Action Figures forum as well? I'm not that familiar with the rules here on Eurobricks. Beard are an important factor for pirate captains. The fact that his face is more beard than face is because of the selection of pieces. The beard is the head piece of the Chima 70200 Chi Laval Ultrabuild set, it only has one connection point and didn't leave much room for other things like eyes. But I'm glad that some non-Bionicle builders like this creation. (It is something that doesn't happen too much in the Bionicle/Hero Factory community ) Edited April 12, 2014 by Sparky Quote
2maxwell Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Wow, this really is something else. A lot of really clever parts usage. Quote
Mr. Townsend Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 This is undoubtedly one of the coolest Bionicle creations I've ever seen. My favorite bit is his boot followed by his peg leg. You used the perfect bits to make each one. I do however wish he had more face, though this is understandable for how it had to be done. Great build Sparky! Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Best... actionfigure... ever... !!! Great usage of parts, there's nothing about it I don't like. Impressive find. Quote

Csacsa234 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 That is outstanding! The use of the Lion head for the beard and the face (which only a nose appearantly , but it's very creative) is very unique, and effective. The rest of the Figure is very well detailed, thanks for sharing this with us! Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Very clever parts usage! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Quote
