legoknight00 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I always look over the instructions LDD generates to something I build or downloaded into LDD, but they never really follow a buildable order. So, I was wondering if there was a way to edit said instructions so that one could actually build something IRL from LDD instructions. Quote
Calabar Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Take a look at the pinned Section Index. There you can find some links to topic that speak about building instructions in LDD. Quote
legoknight00 Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 where is the pinned section? I can't find it in forums or anything always very helpful advice (not) Quote
Gnac Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 where is the pinned section? I can't find it in forums or anything always very helpful advice (not) Please do not bully the Calabar. That's for me to do in the LDD Official Sets topic. Quote
Superkalle Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 And just to clearify to legoknight 100: even though it maybe didn't come across, Gnac is just trying to be a bit funny with the remark about bullying Calabar About your question: One of the key ways to make LDD create reasonable good instructions, is to take the model apart inside LDD to reasonable chunks. Anything that is built using SNOT (studs not on top), i.e. sideways, will cause problems to the building instruction generator. So for example, I always take the wheels off of a car and put them to the side in the model before creating the instructions. Hopefully it's obvious to whomever I send the instruction anyway to put the wheels on anyway. Hope that helps. Quote
