Matthias Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) [pid][/pid] 250A Report 1236634.5 Dear historians,I am writing to you in this old dead language because I am in Port Royal, right before the battle witch influance the history of the world in the next centuries will start. It is not easy to write in this language, but I think it suits well to that time and area.At first I want to show you Port Royal before the battle. Here you can the the port itself, it is build to be a save bay for all merchants and the imperial fleet. It would be very difficult to attack the harbor directly. You see the imperial tradingpost 6265 Sabre Island, 6266 Canon Cove, 6244 Armada Sentry Imperial Trading Post 6277, Imperial Outpost 6263, 6276 Eldorado Fortress and hidden the 6259 Broadsides Brig 6242 Soldiers-Fort, 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up A few days before today, the bluscodes conquered the 6271 Imperial Flagship. 6274 Cari. Clipper is also damaged in harbor. This is a part of the city, with 4183 the Mill and 4193 Escape from London and 6259 Broadsides Brig This is the market, and on the other side of the street are a few houses. Look, a bad pirate is kidnapping the girl on the balcony Look, we are lucky to see the famous Capt. Roger Redbeard while buying a map. Thats the backside of the Towngate of Port Royal Ohhh, the battle just began!!! Governor Broadeside has his headquater for the battle on the top of the towngate. The Admiral of the Redcoats are in the back of his armee near to 1872 Imperial Guard Camp and 6247 Bounty Boat Thats a overview of the beginning battle. bluecoats are organized in several regiments, the Red.... the white, the yellow and the guards of the Governor (under the flag of the crossing sabre) The Reds have 4 regiments, too. Here the Yellow. The red regiment. We see here the first exciting action of the battle. The Redcoats broken the lines of the yellow regiment of the bluecoats at the westside of the battleground. The blue regiment of the redcoats have done a great job and they have a target. They try to enter the strategicly important 1795 Imperial Cananon, but look the Guards of the Governor is entering the westside of the battlegroung to defeat the Imperial Cannon and rescue the yellow regiment. The allied of the Redcotas, the Armada, is attacking at the weakpoint of the bluecoats as well. In the meanwhile the Cannonball and the 10210 Imperial Flagship is fighting near to the cost. Armada Flagship is also fireing, but it is in troubble itself.... because it is under fire of 6245 Harbor Sentry How will tghe battle end? The person who find the writer of the report can decide :) In action: 16 Civialian 5 Pirates 2 Islander 1 "hidden reporter" Blecoats: 13 Bluecoat marines 1 Harbor sentry officer 1 Broadside 5 Officers 136 Soldiers 20 New Blucoat Soldiers 1 New Bluecoat Officer Redcoats: 1 Governor 1 Admiral 4 2009er Officers 3 old Officers 58 2009er Soldiers 68 old Soldiers Armada:1 Conquistador 2 Admirals 2 Officers 13 Soldiers Edited May 4, 2014 by Capt. Kolonialbeamter Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 ... I think I've just seen a monkey raping a pig... Back on topic... Holy Moly! What an installation, so much awesomeness in one diorama... I'm drooling! Great combination of classic sets and MOCs, I especially like the towngate and the little scenes on the market. I remember building similar scenes when I was younger, makes me recreate these memories... Top! Thanks for sharing! PS. I found your guy, he's reporting from that little tavern-like building's tower near the brigde, 7th picture. Neat! Now I get to decide... guess... Bluecoats win... 'cause parties are of around equal strength, but the Bluecoats have a fortified position. You don't attack in such conditions... even Redcoats should know this... anyway, just open the gate, and let the 'harrased' pig run out in shock, Redcoats will flee immediately... that's for sure. Then finish off the remaining armada 'soldiers'. Great build! Regards Quote
jodawill Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Wow! That's truly incredible. I don't think I've ever seen so many imperial soldiers in one place before! There's so much there, I can't even begin to take it all in. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 15, 2014 Governor Posted April 15, 2014 At first I want to show you Port Royal before the battle. FACT: 6277 Imperial Trading Post was in fact named "Port Royal" in some regions, chiefly the UK and Australia. Where you aware of this when you built your MOC, or is it just a coincidence? Quote
Matthias Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) <p>No I did not know it. My Town is calld Port Royal because thats the name of the Headquarter of Governor in in 6 first Pirates Audio dramas. For me the german lego piraten audio dramas are a important part of the lego pirates. I have all of them heard and played in that years at the same time. Its a union and everything in the dramas is "true" history of the lego pirates world :-) Edited April 15, 2014 by Matthias130182 Quote

Although it would be great to have English transcripts... I think someone mentioned doing that last year but I was far too busy at the time to look into it. Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 @Mister Phes: This is the thread you were referring to. Lots of bedtime reading material . Quote
Matthias Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Yes it is translated somewhere in our forum. But reading is not the same than hearing it. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Really nice diorama! It's great to see all those classic pirates sets used together. And so much details! I recently saw a TV show about Port Royal, and it's story is quite interesting. Quote
Matthias Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 I have just seen, I have added the old pictures wothout the fire at the gate. Unfortunatelly I am 600 km away from home. I will add the right soon. Quote
Blackar Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Wow! This is really impressive. I could watch these pictures for hours because there are so many things to discover. I especially like your bluecoat fortress, it fts well in the scenery. You should show it in an own MOC-topic! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hi, I must have overlooked this when it was posted. A great scene with lots of things happening! All very much in the classic pirate look and feel. I have not found the reporter, but to pick a few things that I found very good: - the small river running through - the map salesman - that hat salesman So, very enjoyable - but where can we find the reporter? Any hint? Quote
Matthias Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Hi Capt. Braunsfeld, You can see the reporter in some of the pictures with the river. May you will be able to find, now Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Hi Matthias, I found him - an astronaut! (not meant to be a spoiler for the others) Quote
Matthias Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Hi Matthias, I found him - an astronaut! (not meant to be a spoiler for the others) Great you find him :). I disbuild my display last week. We will see were the "reporter" will appear next Quote
Mazin Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Damn, that's big And I thought that having twenty soldiers is much Seriously could borrow at least a dozen of them from You would change much in Your collection, still having less forces one to invent certain shots, to hide the fact that there's only a couple of minifigures, apparently You don't have this kind of problem here But how did You manage to get them all? Did You buy a whole bunch of them ( soldiers ) somewhere? Or did You simply get them with certain sets. But this way You would have like twenty ships and islands or so Makes me wonder - did someone actually count how many figures came with ALL Pirate sets all together? I mean, how minifigures one would have if managed to buy all the sets? Quote
The Bridge Engineer Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 This is an amazing MOC and battle scene - how much would you take for it aha? I'm a conformist!! Quote

But this way You would have like twenty ships and islands or so Makes me wonder - did someone actually count how many figures came with ALL Pirate sets all together? I mean, how minifigures one would have if managed to buy all the sets? I got the most of them by trading used sets. I buy sets take outnumbered figs put missing parts to it and sell it as 100% complete and make good profit with it. In 2 years I got all the sets (from the profit) and the figs without any money . But I have to say that I owned the whole 1989 line before as a child. You can see which figs are "my own", that are the figs with chewed sabre and heavy used bodies and trousers. I could make them better, but they are the realist of all . I don´t now how manny figs are in all sets?? But I want it to know! I am working on a "here are my pirates minifigs presentation" but its difficulter then I thouhgt. This is an amazing MOC and battle scene - how much would you take for it aha? I'm a conformist!! My pirates collection worth 3.664.37 $ (Brickerpicker Brickfolio) but with the pirateships and piratebases. But I will not sell them. When I am old and dead and Lego Pirates worth nothing (all old 80s and 90s childs are also dead) my children can throuh it in the waste or give it in a museum.
