{CFA} Cotton and Cavalry

In this time of plague-ridden need, Carn has sent cotton and troops for Lords de Gothia and Simon of Avalonia. On a trail through the Wither Woods, the convoy is following a stream towards the Trifork, and will fan out from there.

Very nice moc. I like the carriage and the sideways rock-scaping looks good (however the two brown rocks don't really blend well with the other rocks; I would suggest using more brown in both layers if you which to incorporate it).

Nice cart and I really like that bird! I'd have put a border round the moc though- the front looks a little unfinished.

Regarding your UoP claims I'd be happy to +1 Shipping by Land. I think however that something more than a handful of SNOT slopes are needed to show mastery of sideways rocks.

I agree with Gideon on what you've claimed. UoP DoH +1 for your Shipping by Land claim only. You'd need better for the sideways rocks claim.

While that bird is nicely done, it would only qualify for a third of a credit.

Thank you all for the C&C! It was originaly going to be a sci-fi microbase and the SNOT rocks were a cliff face. But then Ska came up with this fun mini-challenge, so I reorganized it. And I will try and make a border! I'll also remove SNOT rocks from my claims.

Nice cart and figure posing. We must be running some make work programme if it takes 2 armoured guards to move one box of cotton! Love the bird too. I think the border needs more work, the front looks unfinished. If it's a rock face, they are about to fall off!

I have to be honest here and say that this looks more like a WIP or a tablescrap than a finished moc. The unfinshed look to the sides is really glaring and the stage looks too small for the cart - the wheels almost look as though they are falling off the back of the plate. The best part is the bird - that's quite a nice design, though it'd look better with the clips in black. You've made some promising mocs like the archway and cart in your sigfig backstory or your jetty cottage, it's just a little sad that this one doesn't deliver to that standard. But if you are patient and work more into your mocs, i'm sure we will see your best work in the future.

I agree it's not my best, (far from it, actually!) but with the mini-challenges I always feel I need to get it done quick, and I never add much detail. But as I do more builds I will probably get better at mini-challenges.
