Craigslist finds: Best of the Worst

We need a place to post outrageous CL LEGO ads. Here it is. All you need to do is post the picture and ad here as well as a link to the ad.

This person wants to unload last years monthly builds for $250. That's over $20 per build. I did some estimating and it should be less than $5.00 to buy the pieces via PaB online. The directions are free via brickset as well. I would understand asking ~$40 since he actually has the directions. I just don't understand how those being the actual bricks in the bag increases the price almost %1000.

I agree about BLing these monthly builds. They are wonderful little creations and fun to build, but not worth more than 5usd each. So BL them, and make a few extra for trading while you are at it. It makes me sad to see how much some folks ask for these little sets.

The flamingo is my favorite because it was Mom's favorite animal and was introduced about the same time as her first birthday after she passed. So it is next to my kitchen sink, and I talk with Mom every morning when I see her flamingo.

I do wish that LEGO would sell these kits a month or two after the monthly build so that folks without access to them could buy a set or two. They are perfect for polybags and would add a lot of variety to the current offerings.
