odidoma Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) This is my entry for Category A in Challenge II _______________ Lady Wyhn had send out her best scouts to find if the rumors where true about the Drow activity inside the borders of Hauta. It had been weeks but a late night one of her scouts returned with word about Drow activity so Lady Whyn gathering her bodyguard Hadari and some troops and moved to the location. At the location they found a secret tunnel and some fresh trail from the Drow so they decided to wait if there would come back. There quest was to take some of them prisoner and interrogate them to find out some of there plans so they could inform the rest of the lords and knights of Avalonian. When they have been at the cave for a couple of days they suddenly heard some noise from it, they hide in haste and waited.. Thomas of Tortuga Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Very nice work! The tree design looks just creepy enough to set the mood, without overpowering the other landscaping. Your lighting is great, fully illuminating the build while still conveying a nighttime scene. The cliff definitely serves its purpose, but to me it seems too linear and vertically aligned. In between the larger 2x3x1 slopes, you might try adding in some 2x1x1 slopes, or some cheese slopes or headlight bricks. Quote
Niku Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Nice tree and the posing of the figs brings it to life. Quote
Gideon Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Very nice tree, and I really like the use of that horse for the elf(?) lady The photography can be improved a bit however, try to make the lighting more dim so you don't get those strong reflections from the bricks. I also think some of the pics have a reddish tint, I usually correct the colors based on an area I know is white/gray to avoid that. (easy with a white background, more difficult if the background itself is non-gray...I handle that by putting a white paper at the edge somewhere and calibrate with that before cropping it out in the final pic). soccerkid6 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Sweet tree The bank and vegetation are excellent as well Quote
Rogue Angel Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I love the tree. The cliff is also well done, and I like the whole feel of the build. Great job! Quote
de Gothia Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I really like the atmosphere you achieved here! Could it still be done with the tips from Gideon it would be awesome! The moc is as always very good! Love the posings! Quote
robuko Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Very atmospheric and the presentation is great. The scene is quite life-like because of the vegetation and colour. That horse is beautiful, what set is it in? Quote
Torgar Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) Cool tree, and the brown cliff works nicely here. Edited June 23, 2014 by Torgar Quote
