Wedge09 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hi all, this is my entry for Book II Challenge II, Category B on Simon's side: Every man has a price... the key is to find out which. To learn more about the Drow's plans and activity, it has come to use even corruption: there is always some mercenary ready to sell themselves for some gold, and the drow's army make no exception. But Avalonians will ensure that those mercenaries will not betray other people... Enjoy! Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I like that ledge a lot! That's not something you see very often. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Nice foliage in the ground. Cool rock work too! Quote
Scaevola Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Very nice work with the ledge and bottom layer foliage. However, the upper foliage contrasts deeply with the density of the foliage on the ground; it also seems some should be creeping over the edge, not abruptly halting where the top layer of rock terminates. Good job overall though Quote
odidoma Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Nice atmosphere in the pictures, I like the build and the story, great job! Quote
Yooha Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Looks good. I thought that "ensure that those mercenaries will not betray other people" means that the mercenary will be taken care of...for good. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Glad you could get an entry in, Wedge. The rockwork looks great, especially the ledge Quote
Maxim I Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Nice build!! the vegetation is so well performed! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Nice vignette, I'm especially fond of the rockwork. Keep it up! Quote
Wedge09 Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Thanks a lot all! I'm really happy you like so this little scene Quote
Gabe Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Good entry Wedge! I do like the shape of the overhanging cliff face. However the whole moc feels a little unfinished, it could use some more detailling to make it really stand out. Could be as simple as a few cheese slopes on top of the ridge and some vines and creepers growing over the rock ledge, or more elaborate like an empty gibbet swaying from a tree on the upper level. Just something to reinforce that here is a lonely, desolate place where deeds of low skullduggery take place. Quote
MKJoshA Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Great ledge! I may have to use that idea in some upcoming builds of mine. Quote
de Gothia Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Looking good for sure! Those rocks are very nice! The foliage on the barren cliff looks more like it would fit into the lower part of the moc. Quote

I think this isn't one of my best MOCs, I did in a period of low inspiration and I can't finished it as I really wanted anyway thanks a lot for the advices, but maybe an empty gibbet is too much Great ledge! I may have to use that idea in some upcoming builds of mine. Thanks MKJoshA Looking good for sure! Those rocks are very nice! The foliage on the barren cliff looks more like it would fit into the lower part of the moc. Thanks a lot de Gothia Quote
