That dump truck is great! I don't recall seeing that on here before.

I really like how the trim on your wood floors are done. Much nicer looking than the quarter round that is typically used here in the States.

Wow, you built great models. I like the mine backhoe, because it has many technic compared to the room it takes.

The Junebug looks great, too. I like those rims and the design with those green metallic plates.

So today I am presenting you witha tutorial on how to make a small PF rock crawler

It weighs 600 grams, uses very few specialized pieces and is fast and agile. Hope you guys like it:

And this is a video of my idea for a brushless motor, radio control unit and a ew remote, which was sadly rejectected at Lego ideas:

Would love a batterybox with integrated radio receiver, much like the one you proposed, but preferably smaller, more like something that would take LiPo battery packs instead

I really hope we'll se a revised radio control system, some time in the future!:classic:

This little truck had some 3 major overhauls untill it came to this point.

p1190700.jpg

Originally I used the new suspension arms, but due to the spring connection points they created too much friction for smooth soft suspension.

p1190698.jpg

At first I used hard springs in front, but the redesigned front suspension allows for a softer variant with springs supported by half bush.

The rear suspension does not use springs, but it uses the 9L links which support the axle to also give it flexibility.

p1190702.jpg

The suspension is the softest I ever made, the suspension will move a bit even by blowing hard on it

Front suspension has over 3 cm of travel and the rear has over 4 cm of travel thanks to the drop axle.

The rear axle allows for various different gear ratios, and you can use both RC motor outputs:

p1190722.jpg

I prefer the 1:3 gear ratio without a differential, as it allows the truck to go uphill and over bumps with ease, while still being fast enugh for walking speed.

The bodywork was inspired by Monster Energy color combination and it mostly uses panels to create the organic shape.

And the video:

Got a small package in the post yesterday. Contained 8 XL's so now i can start building the Fox the proper way. Hopefully i have all the parts i need now other than the 4 IR receivers but they will be donated by 8043, and the two crawlers till i get some new in the mail. Need 6 IR sensors i now see. I am blind. Guess the second 8043 is going to offer up some parts!

4 bricklink orders on the way :P Hopefully that will be all the extra parts i need. For now the beast will go in a box and wait for the rest of the parts to arrive :(

Cool, yeah its very parts demanding, thanks for update.

Here's an idea I used in the trophy truck's rear suspension.

The use of 9L links allows you to make much more compact and realistic axles which work very simillar to real leaf springs.

Hopefully this idea will be used in scale trucks like the one 2legoornot2lego makes.
