The town of Calder's governor has given up his town hall to be a hospital for plague stricken citizens (whether out of the goodness of his heart or pressure from the multitude no one seems quite sure).

As Anne and Edith passed through Calder, they were pounced upon to become helpers. Not being able to give a good reason not to, they agreed and Anne soon became the governor's right hand helper.

As for Edith... well, she did what she could!

As it's a nice day some of the patients have been taken to the roof for some fresh air.

Unfortunately there's a five picture limit, I tried to pick the best five but there were a few others that I would really have liked to include, you can check them out here.

Note the fish and frog on the first picture!

I'd like to claim UoP credit for roofing #1 (wood roof), roofing #2 (stone roof), wall technique #3 (all three Architecture), flowers and dense foliage landscaping (Landscaping Design).

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments!

Nice job! I really like the stone blocks in the wall, so +1 for that. Maybe you could use some 1x2 plates at the ends, so that the blocks are staggered instead of being in straight rows.

+1 for the stone roof- I like the angles, they go really well together. However, I'm not sure stone was used for roofing in medieval times. Maybe call it shingles instead? :classic:

The wooden roof seems a little plain to me, however. It changes textures several times, from palisade bricks to angled bricks to palisade bricks again. This could work, but the pattern of the gold studs and the height of the roofline also both change over the door. I feel like this portion just isn't refined enough.

+1 on the landscaping- it looks great, although the inclusion of a creek =underneath is ... interesting

Love the build, love the figs and the posing! Great work!

Thanks Vladivus!

I could sure have used some 1x2s, unfortunately I don't have any! Shingles is good. Just wrote down the first thing that popped into my head that would make it clear what I was talking about!

When I asked for credit for the wooden roof I just meant the log part, as a technique per se, not the entire wood colored part. That entire area does though I think look a bit better IRL as it's easier to see the angles.

As for the creek, well, it's not exactly supposed to be underneath the grass, it's just cut off in the middle, and has a few leaves overhanging it. Admittedly making it a few studs longer would have made that more obvious!

Great build! I really like the tiles on the outside wall. I have thought about doing that for some time now but haven't got around to it yet. Now that I see it done it makes me want to go build it....

Yeah, I hear you on the no 1x2s  On just the log part, I guess it's good enough for UoP :classic: Maybe you could link to a picture on Flickr that shows the angle better.

Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately I didn't think of getting one, and it's already destroyed... :cry_sad: (Trying to see if I can get a Cat. A in!)

Well, I don't want you to give me a credit if you don't think it's as good as it should be. We'll see what the others say I guess.

Great build Kai, I really like the interesting roof and the wyvern over the entrance is a cool design. :classic: Lots of nice detail inside the building too. It's a shame you didn't have any 1x2 light bley tiles to stagger the wall, but you could have used 1x2 plates instead i guess if you didn't mind the extra texture.

Great way to keep the story rolling along!

That wyvern is epic! So genious yet so simple!!

I really like the tiled wall!

Love the facial expression on that baby!

Very cool build here Kai! As I said earlier, that dragon/wyvern looks great there.

+1 on all UoP claims

Thanks Kayne!

Thanks Gabe! Unfortunately 1x2 plates wasn't much of an option either... my brick count is rather selective!

Thanks! I'm glad the wyvern is so popular!

I love that wyvern as well! And the 2x2 tiles as large stone blocks looks really good.

Thanks mrcp6d! I agree, you wouldn't think such a simple technique would turn out so well, but it really does!

Sweet wall design, especially the pillars by the gates  Are those based around travis bricks? The dragon thing over the gate is really neat. I also like the pink flowers and the fish in the stream

Yep, I picked up a couple dozen at the PaB wall. Up until this I never did manege to use very many, but this build used most of them up! There's three sets of travis bricks, 6 high, to get the pillars to fit in with the rest of the wall on each side.

Thanks! Pink 1x1s were another PaB thing. Not sure I'll ever manege to use all of them though!

Thanks! I really enjoy fiddling around with all the minifigure stuff (putting it in baskets and barrels and what not!).

So much to love about this build! Since most of it has been mentioned I'll just add that I really like your use of larger Lego containers. They add just the right touch to this build.

I really admire your small builds and wonder what would come out of your hands if you ever tried doing something really big. Pure awesomness I would assume!

Thanks! I wanted to give the impression of lots of bustling activity and incoming supplies!

Thanks kabel! Maybe one of these days!

I really like the bird/dragon on the building. The path is also very nice. Great job!

Thanks Torgar! I love me some grey 1x1 round tiles!
