Somewhere along the road from Ablion to Valholl in Northern Avalonia a traveling barber surgeon had set up his camp and was trying to treat those who where trying to escape Avalonia to the North.

By the man's dialect you could clearly tell that he was from Mitgardia and by his manners you could tell that he was a noble man. Yet his trade and his entire outfit (as well the the fee he charged) seemed that of a commoner.

But there was more that was strange about him. Despite the sizzling heat that made you sweat the very instant you started moving, the barber surgeon was wearing a winter hat. True, it might be a little colder up there in Mitgardia, but down here people were travling as lightly clothed as possible. But the man didn't even have the tiniest drop of sweat on his forehead and if you looked closer, you could the that the man was even shivering.

As for the man himself, he didn't know himself what was wrong with him or even who he was. Half a year ago he had woken up deep in the forests of eastern Avalonia being taken care of by an old herb woman who had cured his wounds and thought him a bit about herb medicine so that he would have a trade that earned him enough so he could travel back to Mitgardia, where the man hoped he could find out about his identity.

Not knowing who he was bothered him tremedously but he felt, that the more he could care for other people, the more he could forget his nightmares, nightmares of dark tunnels, of dungeons, of nasty shraliek and fearsome drow.

Who was he, and what had happened to him?

Very nice vignette and story, the tree is really effective even though it is all studs up. I think this is a category A entry, rather than B. :classic:

Well thanks guys and of course cat. A, Sorry for the confusion.

BTW, those familiar with my mocs know who the man is!

Well thanks a lot guys and yes, Grimmson it is. I had originally planned a whole series of builds depicting what Grimmson went through after the Shraliek had captured him, I just didn't have the time or the bricks to make the stuff I really had on mind. So anyway, here he is and we'll see what follows!

@CH: The Jarl was SoT's hero, we don't know what happened to him.

@Z: praise from you always means a bunch to me! And yes the cart, I guess I spent some 12 houers on it and I'm still not fully happy ...

@Infernum: You got it mate!

@Vlad: for some reason I always come up with more stories for Grimmson than for my main character Steen. Maybe it's because he has more flaws to his personality than Steen, I don't know ...

Very nice little vig, especially that cart! Great tree as well!

Maybe it would look a bit better if the red came down an extra stud length (three instead of two on the tiles, if that's possible), to do so you'd have to lower the wheel a plate or maybe two though (if you did that I'd also change the brown plate that is currently under the red to red). And technically the back curtains should be red, not dark red, but I can understand piece limitations there!

I'd also suggest covering the two studs on top with maybe a leaf, or maybe a red tile.

It looks great as is, but just some suggestions that might make you happier with it!

Sweet Moc Kabel, the covered wagon looks really slick and your tree is nice too. Great to see Grimmson again, looks like he has an interesting tale to tell. (once he remembers it!) :classic:

Very nice wagon Kabel! And I like the use of the old Castle torso, always love to see those. What piece is that green plate piece on the road? Never seen that before.

Great landscape, kabel. I really like how you've been doing grass in your recent builds  The wagon also looks very good and it's nice to see that Grimmson is still alive :classic:

Hey thats a beautiful wagon and tree there Kabel :) Also the green landscape part in the road fits great! Sharp photography also.

I'm surprised at how much attention this little build got as the only thing I really pondered here was the cart. The tree was actually put together in a matter of minutes.

@kai: thanks for all those interesting suggestions, I will see how I can build a better cart next time I'm doing one.

BTW, I have no clue what's gonna happen to Grimmson on his way to Mitgardia but I'm up for suggestions! Maybe some sort of collab?

The cart is awesome!! It reminds me of Age of Mythology (such a good times... "Hey is your Market ready and where is it located? I want to send some carts :cry_happy: )

I love that cart  And I'm happy to hear Grimmson is still alive!

It's the stand from the Toy Story Army Soldiers.
